I use this with my iPhone 17 Pro to record ProRes video straight to an external SSD – no issues at all. The microSD slot is perfect for extra storage, like saving photos or clips. Plus, the PD port lets me keep the phone charged while filming, so battery never dies. It gets warm during use – normal when any device is working hard, especially when it's plugged into a hot phone – but that hasn't affected performance at all. Super handy if you're serious about shooting video on your phone.

This hub is tiny – slides right into my pocket and feels like it was made for my iPhone. I've tried plugging in an SSD, a microSD card, and charging all at once – everything worked fine. It does get warm, but my phone gets warm after heavy use anyway, so the hub being connected will too – no surprise there. Hasn't caused any problems. Works on my laptop too. Great little thing to have when you're out shooting.
