U2 - All That You Can't Leave Behind - 20th Anniversary - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Deluxe two CD edition includes bonus live CD. Digitally remastered 20th Anniversary edition. The forever-evolving U2 looked back to their anthemic, passionate '80s classics on their 10th studio album, even as they took what they'd learned in the '90s and had maximum fun with studio production (aided ably here by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois). It didn't hurt that Bono and co. Had their best batch of songs in years at the ready; all this combined to catapult All That You Can't Leave Behind to #1 in 32 countries. Album Tracks 1. Digitally remastered edition. Released to universal acclaim on 9th March 1987 and featuring hit singles With Or Without You, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and Where The Streets Have No Name, The Joshua Tree went to #1 in the U.K, U.S., Ireland and around the world, selling in excess of 25 million albums, and catapulting Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr... from heroes to superstars (Rolling Stone). Time Magazine put U2 on it's cover in April 1987, proclaiming them Rock's Hottest Ticket and the 12 months that followed saw U2 create iconic moments including the traffic-stopping Grammy Award-winning Where The Streets Have No Name video on the roof of a Los Angeles liquor store, and go on to win a BRIT Award and two Grammys - including Album of the Year - their first of 22 received to date; as well as a triumphant return home for four unforgettable shows in Belfast, Dublin and Cork in the summer of 1987.

To say that Nirvana's third and ultimately final studio album IN UTERO was 1993's most polarizing record would be the understatement of a decade. The unadorned sonic rawness of Steve Albini's recording laid bare every primal nuance of the most confrontational yet vulnerable material Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl would ever record. And with it's 1991 predecessor NEVERMIND having sold some 30 million copies, singlehandedly returning honest rock n roll to the top of the pop charts, IN UTERO was essentially the first record Nirvana would make with any expectations from the public. So from the opening quasi-shamble melodics of InchServe the ServantsInch through the bittersweet closing strains of InchAll Apologies,Inch IN UTERO was the sound of the most incredible yet conflicted rock n roll band of the era at the peak of it's powers coming to terms with a generational spokes-band mantle they'd never seen coming and ultimately surmounting these struggles to make the record they needed to make. This 20th anniversary reissue features the original album re-mastered at Abbey Road studios in 2013. Album Tracks 1. Serve the Servants 2. Scentless Apprentice 3. Heart Shaped Box 4. Rape Me 5. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle 6. Dumb 7. Very Ape 8. Milk It 9. Pennyroyal Tea 10. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter 11. Tourette's 12. All Apologies
