Ultimate Ears - BOOM 4 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with Waterproof, Dustproof and Floatable design - Raspberry Red

I previously owned the mega blast, and was hesitant to buy a new one despite the mega blast starting to die on me after a few years of loyal service and excellent jam sessions. I finally pulled the trigger on getting one of these little ones because it’s pool season again, and I wanted to have some jams at the pool. Everybody is blown away by the amount of bass that this thing produces despite it being so small - it’s about the size of a really big Red Bull can, and fairly lightweight that you can throw it on a rope and carabiner and hang it from a bag and still get great jams out of it without feeling the weight drag you down. EASILY worth the money, especially considering how much you’re going to use it on a daily basis or at least for every pool session. Small enough to fit in the center console of my bronco for a chill beach session as well!

My old WonderBoom (ball-shaped) speaker died so I didn't do much research and purchased this one. I had trouble with initial pairing/matching, but it is now working fine. I think the sound is decent. Was a bit surprised at the price tag, but so far am happy with it. Not sure how it compares with similar models from JBL. I do appreciate the size/shape. Hoping to get many years out of it like my last UEBoom speaker. There are some features I have NOT played with yet - it comes with an app with pre-set EQ modes like "Bass Boost," "Cramped Space," "Deep Relaxation," or "Podcast/Vocal" to tailor the audio, one-touch playlists, connection multiple speakers, etc. I haven't yet come across the need for the waterproof feature. Price I paid is same as Amazon - but I have Geek Squad/Total Best Buy membership so prefer purchasing from Best Buy.

Battery lasts a long time, the sound is phenomenal, and its narrow design allows for it to take up minimal counterspace while on its charging dock. Using its corresponding app allows it to also work as a, “public address” speaker while music plays on the speaker. Very worth the price!
