Mutant, in conjunction with Netflix, are proud to present the premiere physical of Scot Stafford's score to the film, Ultraman Rising Ultraman Rising follows Ken Sato, an all-star athlete who reluctantly returns home to take on the mantle of Ultraman in the wake of rising monster attacks in Tokyo, discovering that his greatest challenge isn't fighting giant monsters it's raising one. Stafford's score for Rising takes influence from the original Ultraman theme, while simultaneously ushering in a new era for the character and his fans. The soundtrack album features 48 tracks, including the Diplo and Oliver Tree title track InchULTRAMANInch and the Alicia Creti track InchNo BetterInch, and a score that features an 80-piece orchestra recorded at London's AIR Studios, 8-bit sounds from a custom-hacked Commodore 64, Japanese percussion, and multiple tracks featuring modern guitar legend Tim Henson. InchUltraman Rising is a multigenerational and multicultural story about family.Inch says Stafford says of the album and his work. InchThat is reflected in the score, which I put all my heart into. Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
