You kinda have to play this game in order to truely appreciate it. So for the sake of not giving away any spoilers to those who haven't played it yet, I'll just say, it's one of the best indie games you can get on Switch/Switch2!

Awesome game and awesome service! The game arrived in perfect condition and its a perfect gift for yourself or that one friend who refuses to play a cult classic for years but i digress.

If you’re a fan of old school nes/snes games this will feel like a game from that era. I like that this game plays with the idea of morality in a unique way. I see why it’s often credited as one of the best games of all time.

Called support for a price match on the eshop and they did it ad allowed me to use my $5 gift certificate, great handheld game with good story.

Undertale on Nintendo Switch is a truly unforgettable experience. It takes classic RPG ideas and flips them on their head with clever gameplay, meaningful choices, and a story that stays with you long after the credits roll. Every character is memorable, funny, and surprisingly emotional. The combat system is simple but creative, allowing you to fight or show mercy, and your decisions genuinely affect how the game unfolds. The retro pixel art style fits perfectly, and the music is iconic—each track adds personality and emotion to the world. Undertale is more than just a game; it’s an experience that rewards curiosity, kindness, and replaying to see different outcomes. Easily a must-have title for any Nintendo Switch owner.

Undertale stands out to me as the first indie game I ever went out of my way to buy. I initially bought it digitally via its original Steam release and fell in love with it to the point that I bought the Collector's Editions on PS4 and PS Vita. That would make this the 4th time I've purchased this game and have no regrets in doing so. The story isn't grand in scale, instead being a more personal tale with far reaching implications but if you're a frequent player of RPG's wherein the climax revolves around saving the universe as we know it then this is a breath of fresh air. Gameplay consists of turn-based combat like RPG's of yesteryear but the twist is that in battles you are given the option of decimating opponents like in most other games of this nature or of diffusing the situation without violence. If you choose the former, you must time your button presses to do the most damage but if you choose the latter you scroll through a small list of (often humorous) actions that will resolve the tension. When the enemy's turn comes, you're tasked with avoiding their attacks in a way that resembles old school arcade shoot-em-ups—meaning that you have to dodge every projectile that comes your way. This small twist on combat made gameplay all the more engaging. The cast of characters are easily some of the most colorful in recent years—each having distinct personalities that you will gravitate to. This is aided by spectacular writing that never ceases to entertain. Much of the dialogue is not only witty or humorous but it also plays on your expectations in such a way that it's always one step ahead of you. As a broad example, if you decide to go through a second playthrough there are many moments in which you may decide to approach certain scenarios differently in such a way that you think you're outsmarting the game... only for you to find out that an alternate dialogue conversation plays out and (by extension) it lets you know that it expected you to think you were going to outsmart it. Brilliant. The game is admittedly a bit short, but the experience is so memorable that it never feels that way. Graphically, it doesn't look like anything that AAA developers would put out but it has a unique art style that evokes the feeling that this was a passion project that was painstakingly put together. Lastly, the music is undeniably incredible. As someone who plays a lot of RPG's I can say that this is easily the best soundtrack I've heard since Final Fantasy VII was released way back in 1997. It blends many styles together and uses many different sound fonts to great effect. The end result is music that is infectious even at its most daunting moments and emotionally resonant whenever it needs to be. Seriously, this game is worth it for the soundtrack alone. If you have the funds to buy the soundtrack CD it comes highly recommended. Overall: 10/10

I got Undertale for my son on Nintendo Switch, and he absolutely loved it. The story is really unique and has a lot of humor, but also some emotional moments. He liked that you don’t always have to fight enemies and can choose different paths, which made the game more interesting. It runs great on the Switch, especially in handheld mode, and the gameplay is simple but fun. The graphics are more of a basic pixel style, which might not be for everyone, but the story and characters really stand out. Overall, great game if you’re looking for something different and engaging.

Undertale is such a good game and this has been my favorite device to play it on (which isn't saying much, I'm not particularly a proficient laptop player). If you've never played undertale DO IT. The little starting spiel booklet is a nice touch too

This was a gift for my son. He has wanted this game for quite some time, and when it came out for Switch, I bought it for him. Gameplay is straightforward. The characters are interesting, the plot is a bit dark, but it does give you a chance to play the game as a pacifist to some extent. It is interesting to see how the choices made affect the gameplay. The quality is old fashioned (think 8 bit retro graphics), but it is still rather fun to play. The music is fantastic. Depending on the choices made throughout the game, the level of difficulty can be low or high. It is quite challenging for my children. Overall, it is a fun game and the price is right. It may be a bit scary for some children, even with a rating of everyone 10+, but my 7 year old loves it.

My teenager had this game on their Christmas list i checked out a few stores and best buy was the best deal even compared to the big name game store. So i ordered online for pickup as the store is like ten minutes away. I got the email when it was ready to be picked up, the email also had a date range to pick it up by. I went to the store found the pickup counter and got the item. It was quick and easy . Game is great. My teenager plays it and i also have a game of it going.

This is an RPG that’s really a choose your own adventure/interactive story, and that’s ok. The story is great. The RPG tropes, self awareness, and humor are great. If you are a fan of SNES era RPGs you need this! It is pretty normal RPG at first glance, linear at second look, and incredibly deep if you look closer. There are three endings and the game knows which order you do them in to some extent. Toby Fox makes very creative use of metadata (used to remember your actions for RPG story progression). Some say to go thru without killing anything first. But I am glad I went through completely blind the first time, playing like a normal RPG. I prefer not using guides with most my games. It was a more pure experience. Watch the videos after you’ve played thru the normal and the pacifist routes on your own. If you do decide to go thru without killing, you CAN’T KILL ANYTHING. Yes it can be done. Yes it is a bit tedious. But It’s only an 8 hour game, If you accidentally gain EXP, quit and reload your save. Get on the fandom wiki or look up the ign pacifist guide. Looking up enemy battle strategies is great as a last resort. Generally these sites are spoiler free, as long as you don’t read too far ahead or only read the battle strategy. Some spoiler free tips about keeping items. -Search online for “ What Items Are Important to Keep for Later on?” Spoiler free on redd-it. -Sell infinite amounts of dog residue in the secret Temmie Town. Finally go download the sequels, Delta Rune chapters 1 and 2, for free. Yup free. On any console or PC. Enjoy.

Undertale FITS the perfect description for a $15 game but don't let the price for you. You'll have a very charming story with awesome gameplay multiple paths with multiple stories. It's an excellent game to be added to your collection. Specially, if you have a Nintendo switch lite
