About this product
The hard stuff saga continues with Brown Acid - The Eighth Trip! Yet again, Riding Easy has searched high and low to bring ten tracks of straight blue flame fire from the golden age of heaviness. As usual, these rare tracks have been carefully curated, analogically sourced, and fully licensed so one can listen guilt-free and save a lot of time and money tracking down the original copies. This Trip comes straight at ya with an all out attack, quite literally-Attack's InchSchool DazeInch kicks out the jams Detroit-style. White Rock will knock your stank-ass socks off with their 1972 burner InchPlease Don't Run AwayInch. This 45 was privately released by this Houston-based band that reportedly played shows with Josefus, Stone Axe, and Purple Sun. Riverside's two-sider from 1974 rips from front to back. It's also exclusively available here and is virtually unknown. And that's just some of the stellar collection of rare singles featured here. Some of the best thrills of the Internet music revolution is the ability to find extremely rare music with great ease. But even with such vast archives to draw from, quite a lot of great songs have gone undiscovered for nearly half a century-particularly in certain genres. Previously, only the most extremely dedicated and passionate record collectors had the stamina and prowess to hunt down long forgotten wonders in dusty record bins-often hoarding them in private collections, or selling at ridiculous collector's prices. Legendary compilations like Nuggets, Pebbles, ad nauseum, have exhausted the mines of early garage rock and proto-punk, keeping alive a large cross-section of underground ephemera. However, few have delved into and expertly archived the wealth of proto-metal, pre-stoner rock tracks collected on Brown Acid. Album Tracks 1. Attack - School Daze 2. Vinyl LP pressing. We're now in the double digits of brilliant long-lost, rare, and unreleased hard rock, heavy psych, and proto-metal tracks from the 60s-70s and clearly this has become a bonafide archaeological movement as each new edition leads us to more exciting new discoveries. Like we've done throughout this series, all of these tracks were painstakingly licensed legitimately and the artists were paid. Make yourself comfortable and prepare for yet another deep, deep dive into the treasure trove of dank, subterranean, wild-eyed and hairy rock 'n' roll. Album Tracks 1. Something Else 2. I'll Give You Love 3. Turtle Wax Blues 4. Diamond Lady 5. In Wyrd 6. Mom's Apple Pie Boy 7. Just Can't Stay 8. I Want You 9. Dancing in the Ruin 10. Every Girl Gets One

Note new price. Expertly archived compilation (assembled by LA's Permanent Records along with Riding Easy) explores the wealth of proto-metal, pre-stoner lost rock tracks from the past 30 years. Features blowouts from SNOW, TOUR, ZEBRA, BOB GOODSITE, RAW MEAT, PUNCH, BACCHUS, LENNY DRAKE, THE TODD, and JOSEFUS. Album Tracks 1. Box 2. Sunflower 3. One of the Bad Guys 4. Wasted 5. Faze 1 6. Stand By Girl 7. Deathhead 8. Carry My Load 9. Love Eyes (Cast Your Spell on Me) 10. Mystify Me 11. Hard Luck

Sixteen trips might fry the fragile psyche of the average teenager, but the hoary old heads at Brown Acid boiled their brain pans long ago! As such, Riding Easy is bringing even more hard rock, heavy psych, and garage rock rarities from the North American wasteland of the 1970s. From L.A. to Youngstown, OH, from Toronto to Charlotte, The Sixteenth Trip has got everything covered. As always, original copies of these 45s would cost a pretty penny-if one could find 'em in the first place. And by now one knows the drill This ain't no bootleg. All songs are officially licensed. This sixteenth installment kicks off with InchShuckin' and Jiving,Inch a seven-minute power jam from L.A.'s kings of garage psych, the Seeds. The song appeared as a single in 1972 with InchYou Took Me By SurpriseInch on the flipside. It was the only on Productions Unlimited, a tag created by (or for) the Seeds at the tail end of their late '60s / early '70s run as Sky Saxon And The Seeds. Get shucked!MacBeth released their one and only 45 in 1978, with the steamrolling InchFreight TrainInch as the b-side to InchDidn't Mean (To Come This Far).Inch Boasting a thick-ass riff, a tasty stereo-panned guitar solo and at least one space laser sound effect, this one should satisfy fans of Blue Cheer and Grand Funk alike. MacBeth's bassist, Ned Meloni, went on to play with UFO guitarist Paul Chapman, Virgin Steele guitarist Jack Starr and do a brief stint with doom legends Pentagram.Formed by three brothers-David, Bruce and Barry Flynn, all GM factory workers-along with organist Tom Applegate, The Headstones (also known as simply Headstone) lent their 1974 garage boogie InchCarry Me OnInch to The Fourth Trip. This time, the Midwest psych rockers return with their killer 1975 instrumental InchSnake Dance.Inch One can hear echoes of this particular guitar style in the recent work of Swedish adventure rock ove
