Louis Aragon was one of the great figures of 20th century literature and poetry, a magnificent writer and a high priest in the Dada, Surrealist and Realist movements. In addition to his masterpieces, Aragon and his wife Elsa Triolet, who was also his muse, formed a tandem that will always be remembered as one of the most legendary loving couples in history, notably because of the sumptuous poems he dedicated to Elsa throughout his life. In 1961, the record entitled InchLes Chansons d'AragonInch, in which his poems were set to music and sung by Léo Ferré, would be an unprecedented success. That album is still one of the most important in the 'chanson' genre. This anthology prepared by Olivier Julien devotes two albums to artists who transformed the poet's work into songs, Léo Ferré, Georges Brassens, Catherine Sauvage, and a third album containing the great poems incarnated by Aragon himself. His tenderness and humor have made Bourvil one of the most endearing characters in our heritage. After the anthology InchBourvil - 1946-1953Inch, FA5131), this second part, directed by Jean-Baptiste Mersiol, continues the musical career of the artist which marks a turning point from the year 1955. Indeed, after having made room for humor, he adds a more InchseriousInch repertoire to his artistic palette. This 3-album box set brings together his great hits, including the unmissable InchFruit saladInch, the tender InchIt was good (Le Petit Bal perdus)Inch, the comic InchMoonlight in MaubeugeInch and the hilarious InchAnti-alcoholic talkInch.
