Working great, perfect for my needs, great price, arrived in one day.

My new laptop didn't come with an internal DVD drive, so I purchased this model to fill the void. I needed a DVD drive to install some software on my new laptop that was only available on CD. The drive worked well out of the box, and I appreciated that it came with a cord to connect it to the laptop. The drive is lightweight and relatively small, but I can't decide if that makes the unit feel "cheap." I don't have a lot of media on CD, so I likely won't be using it a lot. I MIGHT be concerned about durability if I were using this drive regularly.

Read the reviews, needed it ti interact with Windows 10, had the 2 ports necessary, would NOT go past the set-up page and after several days of trying it I took it to Best Buy and The Geek Squad guys had a heck of a time getting it to work (which made me feel better, or at least not so inept!) turns out you had to get your cursor about a quarter of an inch AWAY from where you should have it to click to the next step & then the little hand magically appeared!! Don't know if it's a bad disk or??? It also vibrates quite a bit. It is lightweight.

I purchased this to provide DVD data backup discs for a project. I no longer have CD/DVD drives on my Macbooks so there was a need to go external. The drive performed well with no drops or disc errors. It was a little noisy and because of its build (thin plastic) it felt a little "cheap" and flimsy. I would still recommend the drive for any that needs to write to legacy data formats.

I connected this DVD drive to my new iMac. Worked right away without any issue. No need to install any SW or drivers - supported native by OS X. The only little annoyance is the USB Y cable - you are supposed to connect two USB ports from the Y part of the cable - takes two USB sockets. This is how the setup manual expects you to do it. I tried also with one main port connection and it seems to work, but I did not try to burn DL DVDs yet in this configuration.

It is reasonably priced and works just as I expected. It is very light and easy to transport.

Not bad for the price. Love the slim, compact design. A little noisy, but it does the job for me.

I was looking for an affordable external burner. This one fit the bill. Works well and easy to use.

My new computers do not have a cd/dvd slot. This is perfect size, function and price. Works as advertised.

Nice slim design. A bit noisy at times & uses two USB ports because of the Y-cable. So far does it's job. Not bad for the price.

I purchased my son a computer on line,and, didn"t realize it had no optical drive. I purchased this one. It had a really great price,well known name ,and, a lot of features . It has more features than most internal drives.

Works perfectly. I am able to load my old software onto my laptop via my docking station.
