Jet pack is the way to go when traveling, I just ordered it and Best Buy added it to the account and just powered it on and you are ready to work.

This device is great but service wise as usual data with Verizon tends to drain quickly. 2 days in and I got an alert that I’ve used 50% of my data and I’ve only used this thing to set up my brand new HP Inkjet wireless model smh

Overall, this Jetpack is still the fastest, longest lasting and has the best range/reception. I use it even in my yard, as I get a much better signal than any of my 2 phones. Highly recommended and Best Buy has the same prices as Verizon and is much faster with customer service. Verizon is getting worse and worse with 60 minute waits in-store, while Best Buy is in and out within 10-15 minutes.

This replaced my lost Mifi 7730L which is an older version of this jetpack. This is a very good jetpack for business users. Has a large battery but also includes a QuickCharge 3 charger which recharges the jetpack quickly. Has support for openVPN on the jetpack, which works well. In areas with good network coverage it will get excellent speeds 150+ Mbps down and 50+ up. Still has usable speeds even in lower coverage areas. Can get pretty warm when being worked hard but never fails. I had the 7730L for over 2 years it had this same issue and never affected operation so it seems normal for these. One thing to consider is it's really easy to use a lot of data so keep that in mind when selecting your plan.

Although not 5G this hotspot performs as advertised. We are snowbirds and our location for the winter has an acceptable Verizon 4G signal. Setup is as simple as possible and the unit has provided reliable internet connection including some occasional streaming. Additionally, I have not noticed any significant temperature issues even leaving it plugged into its charger, however, we are not heavy wifi users so this might still be a problem for some.

So far, so good. We have been using this for almost a month and it has worked flawlessly. We typically get about 16Mbs downlink through it. It hasn't reset, nor had any other problems. We do unplug it every other day, to allow the battery to discharge some and to save some it from some of the micro-charges. It has two bars in our location. We tried using an external MIMO antenna, but it didn't improve the reception, nor the speed. 16Mps is good, I just wanted to see if it could get any better.

I read reviews at other e-tailers that say there are issues with network disconnects for older versions of the firmware. Based on this, I updated my firmware when I first received the product. So far (16 days in) it has worked flawlessly and the connection has been stable with no disconnects. Full disclosure though, I live in an area where a tower is nearby so the signal is consistently strong. I typically get 70 to 100 Mbps down and 15-30 Mbps up.

Once activated, the jetpack seems to function well. Updates are fairly simple to install. I ordered online for in-store pickup and had no problem with the device not being registered as purchased like some people have apparently encountered. I did have some hassle with activating over Verizon Prepaid. It took multiple conversations with different Verizon reps to make happen, which was very frustrating. With that said, it works well once we finally got it activated. Speeds are good and the hardware feels a good quality.
I was in the process of moving therefore I did not have any internet setup. I work from home as an IT Technician so I needed reliable fast internet. With this hotspot I was able to video chat, control users computers, and browse the internet all while connected to a VPN without any issues. I was also able to stream Netflix and Youtube smoothly without buffering in full hd. I was able to get about 6 hours of use without connecting it to a charger. And I normally had 2-3 signal bars during my use.

I originally bout an MHS900L for use in our summer home in northeast Arizona and in our RV, but it barely worked. I was looking for alternative (DSL and Cable not available up there). A friend loaned me an 8800L and it worked much better. Still get buffering when trying to stream live baseball on ROKU TV, but I couldn't do it at all with the 900L.

This little hot spot is awesome! Very easy to operate and get going. Love the fact that I got set up with pre pay use! Very fast internet speeds once I got going. The only downfall was activating it with Verizon. Getting someone on the phone took about 40 minutes which was frustrating but after that it worked great!

Not the 1st one I have purchased, but the latest. Very happy, gets an excellent signal. Very easy to operate, small enough to carry in my purse. Great to have a secure signal when I travel, I don't have to use unsecure lines.

This device works excellently well and the Verizon signal is great in my area. The outer covering is grippy will not slip on most surfaces. The size is small enough for easy carry around. The setup is simple and straightforward too.

Works great with my prepaid unlimited hotspot data plan from Verizon. It’s a grandfathered plan that can’t be purchased any longer. This is a category 18 LTE modem, which supports incredible data speed potential. At my home, and I live pretty close to a Verizon tower, I’m getting up to 220Mbps down/15Mbps up. I have had some issues where the connection drops intermittently, but that’s been proven to be a network issue where I’m at, not a fault of the Inseego device itself. When I insert a non-Verizon SIM card, that issue was not occurring. So the Verizon network is causing that hiccup and I will have to pursue that with them. And this device is sold unlocked, so if the LTE bands of your alternate carrier are supported on this device, a SIM with an unlimited hotspot plan will work in it. If your setup includes Verizon and you are data hungry, this is the only hotspot I’d recommend until a 5G one is proven and affordable. Because this remains a cutting-edge LTE modem, it will be relevant for years. The carriers are just getting around to decommissioning the 3G networks end of this year and into next, so LTE will live on probably until at least 2030. All that to say, buy this with confidence it will serve your needs for years to come.

I Purchased the jet pack in order to broadcast zoom meeting for my daughter’s wedding just outside Zion national Park and it performed perfectly.....the feed was super fast...possibly because we only allowed the single cameraman to connect to it, either way it did the job. We were able to zoom the wedding which allowed more than 300 people to attend the wedding. I paid $200 for the Jetpack, it cost an extra $20 a month to my monthly contract with Verizon but worth every penny to share that special day with family and friends.

Hoping this one works better than the previous model. So far it is not kicking us off the internet every 15 minutes or so. Hopefully the battery issue will improve as well. Have it on a timer so it's not on charger 24 hours a day. We travel fulltime in an RV and use this as one of our main sources to connect to the internet. It's nice that it's super portable. Negative is it will not work without a battery.

AT&T shut me down as I left surgery rehab. No phone, no on- line banking, no calling family for help. I first bought the small Verizon Pod with ACTIVATION at BestBuy. By the time I decided that the larger verizon 8800 hotspot would turn my entire apartment into a business off and that I with no car should risk going back and pre-paying for one our state was gradually shutting down. IN SUMMARY: IT ARRIVED A DAY EARLY. I FOUND A VERIZON TO ACTIVATE IT AND NOW I CAN COMMUNICATE BY EMAIL SURF THE INTERNET AND EVEN WATCH MY CHURCH'S VIRTUAL HOLY WEEK CHURCH SERVICE. MY VERIXON WIFI AND MIFI SAVED ME FROM ISOLATION DURING THESE SCARY TIMES. THE MIFI WIRKS WHILE PLUGGED IN... A GIFT FTOM GOD... GO GET ONE JUST YO BE SAFE!!

Simple setup, easy to use and solves the problem of access for me while on vacation at a lake in Maine. Reasonable speeds and access for the whole family. A must if you need access in those remote places!
