I’ve bought two Sony VGC4EM vertical battery grips for each of my Sony A7iv cameras from Best Buy.. These battery grips are of excellent construction and the fit and quality is outstanding.. I would highly recommend them to anyone..

This is essential for shooting sports and wildlife. The extra heft and grip for portrait oriantation is so comfortable. With 2 batteries i can shoot 5000 or more photos at a baseball game and still have 75% of the second battery on my A7V. Fit is perfect! I would spend the extra and get genuine Sony.

I have been using a Sony battery grip on my a7R III and it spoiled me so much that I got one for my a7S III. I initially was after the extended battery life, but the palm of my hand and pinky finger were so happy to have something to hold. I have long hands and this grip actually makes working the camera and controls easier and more relaxed. It does add a little weight, but I feel that actually helps steady the camera, especially when using a long telephoto lens. Made from the same mag alloy as the camera, and same high quality switch and buttons as the camera. It's not cheap, but it's worth it to keep your great Sony camera all Sony!

I had a recommendation from the Sony rep in my area and I've never been more pleased. With the investment of the Sony A7Riv I grabbed the Battery Grip so I will never have to worry about losing a shot because of a discharged battery. The grip holds to of the NP-FZ100 long lasting batteries and gives the body some extra size for gripping when inverting for Portrait modes. There are identical buttons on the grip corresponding to the most used on the body, plus the function and programmable "C" function keys. Convenient and a great value in every manner.

Ideal accessory for sport photographers, especially with telephoto lens. Not only will this battery pack give you peace of mind to get through the event without your battery dying, but it allows you to shoot vertically without putting your wrist in an awkward position and it evens out the weight well when you have the big telephoto on

I always use Vertical Grip for my cameras. Purchased Vertical Grip for new A7R5. It works flawless and provides added stability for holding precious cargo. Using the grip with two batteries for long shooting sessions. The added buttons when in vertical mode are great features and at my finger tip. Easy to install and start shooting. Love this grip, buy it. recommend to all. Buy it.

I have purchased these for several of my cameras and have learned this make shooting portrait style photos much easier on my shoulder and wrist due to the twisting on my joints is far less. It actually helps my arm hurt less after using for weeks of everyday events.

Black Vertical Battery Grip from Sony allows for long-term, comfortable shooting in the vertical orientation with the Alpha a7/a7R/a7S digital camera. It accepts 1-2 NP-FW50 batteries, which are available separately, to extend and possibly even double your shooting time. The grip uses a battery with lower power first, then automatically switches to the one with greater power when the first runs out. The remaining battery power is displayed as a percentage on your camera's LCD monitor. The grip offers an extra shutter button, located at the low position, as well as front/back control dials and Auto Exposure Lock. All controls are placed appropriately for easy, comfortable access. I needed a battery grip for my new Sony mirrorless and I chose this as it fit my camera perfectly and holds 2 batteries giving me lots of power for those overnight photography trips! I love how Sony engineered this to work with the battery door cover. Very ingenious!

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this grip. It is what I needed to be able to do weddings without having to keep charging the one battery had. It is holds two batteries and that’s what I needed. My advice is to get a grip if you need more battery life or going to be shooting most of the day

i bought this vertical grip when i got the new a7riv and it is great! the a7riv already has great battery life, but this grip doubles it! (you have to buy the second battery separately) very comfortable in the hand and functions perfectly.

You're paying the Sony tax on this. I know there is a cheaper off brand one on Amazon for about $100, but why even risk it? With this, I am confident I'm not going to have issues while on the field.

Must have grip for any camera. Sony has a shallow and short grip. The additional griping potential especially if you have large hands with the extra battery makes this grip idea for handling and stability.

Great device and does its job well. All buttons are well placed and utalized on the a7s iii
