I purchased this because it was a significantly less expensive that the higher end fixed frame screens and I am new to the world of projectors. After receiving a Hisense c2 pro projector for my birthday I have been on a mission to figure out how to make it work in my living room. I have a large wall that fits the screen and overall my family loves the huge 155” screen. It looks very nice with the black velvet borders and paired with a 140” long floating TV cabinet below it (I put 2 ikea besta units together to do this) it all looks very nice and intentional. This screen has a gain of 1.2 which is more than I should have in a living room where I have ambient light in the day, and at night my white walls and ceiling wash out the dark colors. But even with those issues the picture looks amazing and for this price I am happy with the screen. My complaints are that when attaching the screen to the rods during setup the tension is extremely high and the screen material ripped on a few holes, with the most important being on the very corners where the hole placement in the material was so close to the edge of the fabric that it instantly ripped. There are so many little hooks to attach that the overall tension is uniform and tight and I do not notice any of the rips I mentioned. However my 1 single issue that bugs me every day is that the frame itself is not perfectly “square” (I know it’s a rectangle). The top edge sinks down about a half inch making it so that my projector display hits the sunk edge, which people don’t notice because it hits the black velvet, but I can visually see the small sunken top-middle of the frame and it drives me nuts. There are 2 vertical metal bars you attach in the back to combat this, and the instructions to not give any directions to where exactly you should place these so I tried many different placements and was able to reduce the sag but not completely. I need to reach out to their Customer Service to get their feedback but haven’t done so yet. At this price point I suspect there won’t be a great resolution but will try. In summary I would buy this screen again, and maybe I assembled it wrong, as the directions are very ambiguous and not tailored to this exact screen with 2 vertical support bars. Of course the usual projector logic can be applied here - with a 1.2 gain this is best for a light controlled room with matte black walls and ceilings, etc - but I am just starting my journey into projects and wanted to experiment without buying a UST projector and super expensive ALR screen, etc. If you are on a budget these Vevor screens will satisfy you until you are ready to make rooms changes or invest 5 to 10x more money for a screen.
