I purchased this product to examine a basement drain pipe that is partially clogged. As soon as the camera hit moisture the image blurred. I was unable to snake it through the pipe more than a couple of feet. It will have to be attached to something more rigid to reach the clog. I am not sure why the recording features are included. Live video should be sufficient for examining an enclosed space Based on my experience so far, this product would be useful in dry, dark spaces - under a couch, inner wall spaces, around a corner, inside a box.
