VEVOR - Rebar Stakes, 16-Inch, Heavy-Duty 0.45 in Diameter, Straight Galvanized Steel Ground Anchors with Chisel Point End - Black

We construct a Halloween walk-through every year and each year is bigger than the last. Each year we also encounter new problems forcing us to improve our build. This year I decided to construct a PVC framework using furniture grade connectors. The connectors would provide stability at the top, but we needed something to stabilize the bottom as well. I thought 3/8 rebar would be perfect: driven partway into the ground and then sliding our 1/2" PVC over the rebar would keep things from moving. I work at our local home improvement store, so the next day I checked to see if my plan would work: Yes and No. Physically, it was a perfect solution, but financially, it was a bust. The 12" sticks in store cost $4.75 each, meaning I would pay almost $150 in rebar alone. I decided to do some research and found these sticks with a better length and a much better price: saving us $100!!! These were much easier to use, too, as the chisel point made them so much easier to drive: the other place only sells blunt-tip. My son was more than thrilled with how these improved our construction and is already making plans for NEXT year's build. Could not be happier!
