Buying a marketplace item from Best Buy may not be the best option. The main issue is that marketplace purchases are not directly managed by Best Buy. If the seller sends you an open-box or used item, resolving the issue can become a frustrating process. You first have to contact the seller, wait up to 48 hours for a response, provide pictures if requested, and then potentially wait another 48 hours for a resolution. Meanwhile, the return window may only be 15 days, and you don’t know what the seller’s next response will be. By the time the issue is resolved, you could be very close to, or even past, the return deadline. For expensive items where you specifically expect a brand-new, factory-sealed product, I would be very cautious about buying from a Best Buy Marketplace seller.
