Great Turntable
Rating: The turntable is a 5. The RCA cables that came with it are not. Setup: I hooked up the RCA cables that came with the turntable. I then grounded the turntable to the receiver phono ground post (ground wire not provided). Upon powering it all up, I got some very noticeable hum out of the speakers. I replaced the RCA cables with higher end cables and the problem was solved. I also added some anti-vibration foot pads under the feet of the turntable to reduce any vibrations from the speakers. Over all: Great turntable for the price point. I also like the fact that it is a Victrola for retro reasons. Very solid and plays my albums well. Very pleased and listening to great music every day.

What to do with my old Vinyl records.
When my wife & I moved and we came across over 100 vinyl records from the 70’s.. We thought we could go down memory lane and play them from time to time.. So we dropped in to Best Buy. Not a lot of choice, not like we had in the 70’s. I was pleasantly surprised how well this sounded.

Great Player
Overall it is a very nice quality record player and is fairly easy to use. However I’ve noticed when playing vinyls it actually makes a static noise from the actual player. I’ve tried different vinyls including brand new and older records which is very saddening since it does affect the overall sound and music you are trying to enjoy. In the picture is the player without the lid which I personally enjoy more!

Great entry-level turntable
This turntable was perfect for my needs - fully automatic playing and repeating of records, has a brand name cartridge, and the bluetooth function allows me to be flexible in how I listen (headphones, waterproof bluetooth speaker for using in the hot tub, or I can use the full stereo for listening with larger groups). Yes, I know it's not "audiophile" quality I also don't want to invest 400 plus to be able to enjoy my records and frankly sound quality is quite good - I compared Sublime's "40 oz to freedom" on remastered vinyl vs. playing from original CD on my bookshelf speakers and sound quality is comparable.
