I do like the idea of this product. I was a little surprised the battery life on this door cam does not last very long. I did trade out the battery just to make sure but still the battery goes dead. I believe in two weeks or less for us. Does have a good picture and I do like the two camera feature.

Cool dual-view camera for increased security

Great dual-view wired or wireless doorbell. Fits in with our Wyze infrastructure and was a quick install, but a massive upgrade to our former wired push button doorbell. Came with an included chime so now we can hear the door ring throughout the house. This Duo-Cam is super convenient. One camera faces outward like most video doorbells, but it has a second camera which faces downward towards the stoop which is fantastic to know if you have had a package delivery (or just want to check the snowfall levels). Strangely, I also notice that since it shows as a split screen on my Wyze app, I can see what what people have in the hands (package, clipboard, nothing, and hopefully not a weapon). It's just second nature now for me to be able to anticipate what the person at door's intention is, which I suppose is an added safety factor. Overall, very pleased. We purchased a second Duo Cam for another door and it works perfectly as well. In our case both are wired, but these have batteries and work fine in a non-wired mode as well. We were able to set the sound for the second door's chime (which is a separate device which comes with this) to be different, so we know which door to run to which is also very helpful. We ended up much more pleased than we anticipated.

Overall I am pleased with the product. When you finally get it setup it works very well, especially the dual camera concept. The install process is confusing and takes a significant amount of time. Also, they have yet to make the Duo Cam work in the Alexa app. Come on Wyze get your act together

The two cameras in one device are of good quality. Sometimes there is a delay in viewing the camera in the app and/or the Alexa device. Very easy to install. Battery use is great!

Troubleshooting Tips for Viewing Delays:
Check Your Internet Connection:
Ensure your Wi-Fi signal strength is strong where the doorbell is installed.
If possible, move your router closer to the doorbell or use a Wi-Fi extender.
Disable Power Saving Mode:
If Power Saving Mode is enabled, live streams may not load automatically.
Go to the doorbell’s settings in the Wyze app:
Navigate to Advanced Settings > Disable Power Saving Mode.
Update the Wyze App:
Make sure your Wyze app is up to date. You can check this by:
Going to the Account tab > Tap About.
Compare your app version with the latest version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
Optimize Alexa Integration:
Ensure your Alexa device and Wyze Duo Cam are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Restart your Alexa device and re-link the Wyze skill if needed.

Find a good sd card

Item works as advertised. Having an issue with what sd card to use though. Havechad 3 sd cards fail thus far after a few days of use.

Hi there! I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the SD cards on your Wyze Duo Cam Battery Doorbell, and I’m here to help!
This device supports microSD cards up to 256GB (exFAT) or 32GB (FAT32). Please make sure the card is compatible, inserted securely (you should hear a “ding ding”), and properly formatted through the Wyze app. It’s also a good idea to check for any firmware updates and, if needed, try a different high-quality SD card.

Hi there! We understand how frustrating it can be when your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell experiences lag or misses important events. Here are some steps you can take to improve performance and event capture:
Check Signal Strength:
In the Wyze app, go to the doorbell’s settings > Device Info > Signal Strength.
If you see 2 bars or less, try moving your Wi-Fi router closer to the doorbell or improving your network connection.
Lower Video Resolution:
2K resolution uses more bandwidth and can cause lag or missed footage. Lowering the resolution may help with smoother streaming and better event capture.
Adjust Event Recording Settings:
Go to the doorbell’s settings > Event Recording and ensure Motion is enabled.
For users without a Wyze Services subscription:
Select All Events and tap Customize Detections.
Make sure both Tag and Notify are checked for Other Motion.
For Wyze Services subscribers:
Select Smart Detection Events and tap Customize Recordings.
Only select the specific types of AI motion you want to trigger recordings to reduce unnecessary videos.
Update Firmware and App:
Make sure your Wyze app and the doorbell’s firmware are up to date for the best performance.
Power Cycle the Doorbell:
If battery-powered: Remove the battery pack for 10 seconds, then reinsert it.
If hardwired: Flip the breaker off for 10 seconds, then back on.

I have plenty of other Wyze cameras so it’s nice to use this in tandem with them and in the same app so everything is all in one location. The secondary package view camera is helpful as well.

Too good to be true

I do love the twin camera but i do not love the device being "offline" 70% of the day. Battery life is horrendous for a device thats offline so often. Device supprt says its a firmware issue thats being resovled but reading up this has been a Wyze issue for years. Going back to ring

I've converted to an all Wyze setup and the last device was the doorbell camera and duo camera was the best option. Rechargeable battery , package detection . Great clarity on the video . Go and pick up your now.
