You should buy this, if you’re looking for 240hz
This monitor is great, after you find your perfect settings and use the viewsonic strobe utility application and tweak your those settings to make your gaming experience incredibly better. I also want to note that out of the box the monitor is great as most of the people who have gotten this monitor has always gotten great responses from the colors. Using this for gaming is really good as the price is just right for a 240hz monitor. If you’re not competitive enough to want to get 240hz and are more of a casual gamer I suggest getting a 1440p monitor. Other than that the only bad thing I had to say about this monitor is how long it took to get to me. Instead of the 5 days It said it would take to get here it took 10, but only because there was an error while trying to ship it. Other then that the second I got this monitor I felt how it was to game from 60hz to 240hz. It was just amazing and I truly felt like this was well needed for my setup.

good buy in this price
This product is working fine and as expected performance. Comparing a CRT (GDM-FW900) at 85Hz side by side with the XG2431@85Hz, the picture on the XG2431 is arguably better.

Complete failure in 2 months - avoid!
Had it 2 months and then had the dreaded horizontal line failure that I've since been reading about. I'm going to try to return to Best Buy, but whether that works or not, I'm never buying ViewSonic again. It's a shame; it was nice while it lasted, short though that was.
