This trim kit is expensive but worth it. It comes with an exhaust duct which is a very good idea for a built in microwave that is also a convection oven. Even if you end up using a third party trim piece on the outside instead of the included stainless trim piece (because of fit or aesthetics) you will nevertheless want that exhaust duct inside the built out space and viking does not sell the duct separately. Expensive "piece of mind" for sure but these appliances last over a decade so the expense amortized is not very much in return for knowing that the heat is not building up inside the built in space. I give it a four because trim is bulky and they should sell duct separately at lower price as many people use third party trim systems.

Very pricey for what it is. But...if you have the microwave and want a professional / finished look for the built in, it’s the only choice. That said fit and finish and ease of install are top notch.

Installer figured out a way to install double oven without a trim kit and it looks great. Quality Kitchens did a great job

Tried to assemble ourselves and was very difficult to figure out how to separate the front from the back.
