Since my original remote was apparently part of a defective batch (based on online research), I was happy to find an inexpensive replacement that appeared to be identical to the in-box Samsung. The fact that it had the solar rechargeable panel to increase battery life was a selling point for me. The functionality of the remote is great. It solved all of the problems of the original, no multi-button pressing stuttering, crazy volume fluctuation or channels flying by. Unfortunately, that was the only thing that was any better. The Bluetooth functionality will not program. That's fine as it had stopped working on the original as well. But I can get by on infrared. I was hoping a new remote would fix that, as having Bluetooth is a great feature. Oh well. The biggest issue is the battery life. I've had the remote for about 5 months and have tried different charging techniques. A few hours (recommended) overnight, a quick charge, less than 15 minutes. It always ends up the same. It will not continue to function for more than a couple days at most. I leave it with the solar panel facing up during the day and it doesn't seem to make any difference. The original remote would work without a plug-in recharge for weeks at a time. I might get two days out of this one. I've become used to just plugging it in every day now, the solar charge is pointless. If you happen to get one of these with a good battery and are okay with infrared functionality, I think it's a great remote. But for the extremely poor battery life, I can't recommend.

Pretty good after market replacement remote. Functions as it should overall. Only problem I have encountered is that this remote will not program to my Bose soundbar correctly. It will turn the sound bar off during the universal remote programming function, but after that it does not control the volume or anything, so Im forced to use the original remote for the sound bar now.

Our new Samsung television did not come with a voice remote, so we ordered this one and it works perfect.

My previous remote was not very responsive, but this one is very responsive.
