This is not a direct replacement for the original remote, this is a cheap look alike. This remote requires navigating with the buttons rather than the point and click feature of the original, despite it being advertised as a magic remote. Despite it having the same part number, the components are different and I was unable to use the scroll wheel in my original remote. The shaft of the scroll wheel broke off on the original, otherwise it still works. The remote came wrapped in seran wrap inside a bubble envelope. Best Buy refused to refund the item.

Much better than the remit that came with the tv. The only thing I would comment is the tv show e remote not accepted by the tv. I think this is an LG issue. I’m going to buy another one so that my wife and I each have one. The other will go in the junk drawer.
