I got this Ball Bearing Tilt Switch because I bought the remote start for my SUV and it needed it for it to work flawlessly, and it does. It arrived nicely packaged, it mounts easy on the vehicle so it is not so visible. Overall it works great, easy to install, and it is working every time.

Purchase the ball bearing tilt switch and Compustar 1-Button Remote Starter for my 2015 Jeep Unlimited. The Compustar Remote Starter works flawlessly and very easy to use. The techs at Bestbuy that installed the system in my vehicle are knowledgeable and professional in their work. I have purchased two more of the Compustar Remote Starter for family member in 2017 Christmas gifts (Buick and Honda vehicles). Purchased another one for my fiancé vehicle which is a 2018 Hyundai. Like I said they all work flawlessly. I would highly recommend it to friends And families.

It was recommended to install this product to the Viper remote start. I am not so sure that it was absolutely necessary to have it installed but because the product didn't cost much, I decided to buy it instead to use the one supplied with remote start kit packet, and it is easy for technicians to install tilt switch v.s the.one supplied with remote start kit packet .

This went W/ Compustar 4905s starter- Bought this as a gift for my aging parents as I wanted to to have an option to pre heat/cool their car. I went with this option since they are not good with "smart phones" and do not need the extremely distance of control. So far the unit is working great nd give them immediate 2-way feedback when starting. We installed it on on 2019 Ford Escape.

This item was used in place of a hood pin switch with the installation of a DS4+ Viper remote start system with security add-on. The auto tech at Arundel Mills Best Buy did an excellent job with placement of this item. Works as intended.

Some means is required to prevent accidents if the remote starter were engaged while someone was working under the hood, such as at an oil change shop or a repair facility. The tilt switch is one way of doing this, by simply blocking the remote starter when the hood is open.

I had a remote start installed so assume this was needed to make it work. Since the remote start works then I don't have any issues with how it is working. I assume the intent is for me to know know it is installed and for it to just work, which it does.
