I love the white and qualty is excellent. My dissappointment is the noise. I have this same version from about 8 years ago and that one almost silent even at the highest setting. What happened to the design that makes them so loud now?? Its nit any more powerful...

Make the whole room feel cooler! It’s small but it moves a lot of air! Powerful enough for most rooms. Noisier than the bigger ones, but more compact. You do have to figure out how to get the dust out after a year or so.

I just purchased this fan today, July 21, 2020 to replace my Honeywell fan of the same size and style. Wow! This Vornado is amazing! I use it in the bedroom as this room gets very hot and I have trouble sleeping. I plugged it in and the lowest speed is equivalent to the high speed on my Honeywell fan. I upped the speed to try the medium and high speeds and I can't believe how much air this puts out. I swear if this was waterproof you could use it for a boat motor lol. All jokes aside, I'm very pleased with this Vornado fan. I know I will be sleeping better. Yes it costs 4x more than my Honeywell fan, but it's definitely worth it. Better quality, way more powerful and sturdier too.

Bought this for the office. Great little fan. Powerful, doesn't take up a lot of room and keeps thing cool. Reason it got 4 stars and not 5, is that on the highest setting, its a bit loud.

Vornado personal fan provides cooling with Three adjustable speeds. The highest speed provides powerful air circulation, but high speed creates a small bit of noise. The lowest speed is quiet and move the air within a small enclosed room or office.

This fan is small but it packs a lot of power. I own the larger version of this fan (Vornado 660), and the designs are essentially identical except for the controls and number of fan speeds: 3 speed rotary knob on back (460) vs. 4 speed push-buttons on top (660). The 460 is fairly quiet at its lowest speed, but can be rather loud at higher speeds (depending on the environment). I initially purchased this fan to provide some “white noise” while sleeping, but even at its lowest speed I found it too loud for this purpose. If you’re looking for a fan that provides a more subtle “white noise” effect, I recommend the smaller Vornado 133.

Strong fan for its size. However the adjustable pitch is poorly designed as there’s no integrated pitches or any resistance/stoppage to firmly keep the fan at a desired angle. Moving the cord alone will adjust the pitch. Also contributing to the poorly designed adjustable pitch, the rotary switch is placed on the fan portion itself rather than the base portion; adjusting the speed will always adjust the pitch of the fan.

When I first opened this I thought I made a mistake because of how small it was. But wow! It works very well and moves a lot of air, perfect for a medium- small size room. Works better than the ceiling fan! It is a little loud on the highest setting but that’s expected with a fan rotating so quickly. You can’t go wrong with this fan! It’s saves a lot of space over a conventional fan!

This fan is awesome! It is small, but it works great. I like it better than another vornado floor fan that i purchased. It has 3 speeds and puts out great air flow. It isnt too loud either.

This fan moves alot of air, but it is indeed a fan that makes noise. I couldn't really determine if it was quiet or sounded like a regular fan before I bought it. It sounds like a regular fan, but a quieter. I like it because it's all black, is covered by a great warranty, and is very well built. This is a tank of fans, and worth the money.

This fan puts out A LOT of air for a small fan and does a great job.

Excellent value for my sons college room. Circulates air in good throughout the room. Not too loud, also.

This is the second of these fans we bought. our older son has enjoyed for years and got one for second son's room. They move a lot of air in a compact form. They aren't designed to be quiet, but we actually prefer that as they drown out other movement in house when kids are sleeping.

Needed a replacement for our stand fan and wanted something I could put up out of the way of our toddler. I love it! It has just the right amount of white noise and circulates air so well, packs a punch for such a small package. Best fan purchase I've ever made, so glad I went with this one!

When I bought it I was apprehensive at first. I needed a fan for the hot summer months that could circulate the air in the bedroom with the AC running without taking too much space. When placed in front of a floor vent and allowed to run for ~15 min the temperature in the room noticeably dropped. The fan did the trick and spread the cool air out over the room. It does tilt from straight ahead to pointing directly at the ceiling so it should work for distributing heat in the room during winter as well. Only negative is without the AC on a box fan seemed more effective for pulling in air from outside.
