I needed a small but reasonably powerful desktop fan and the Vornado fits the requirements nicely. It has four speed settings, you can either let it blow air in a circle or stop it so it blows only in one direction. Very useful when using my laptop and the room temperature doesn't warrant running the a/c unit.

Aesthetically, it's nice, but it does not move much air. It is very quiet on low, but I can barely feel any air movement from 12 inches away. It makes some noise on medium, but it isn't bad, and you get minimal airflow. When the fan is on a high, it is loud enough that I get asked to turn it down, but there is enough airflow to be of use. I bought this to use in a library carrel, but it isn't quiet enough, so I will be returning it.

Pretty good little fan for the money. Use it when we travel to provide air movement in hotel room. Have to put close in order to feel it but the oscellation on this device is good and is quiet. Easy to slip in suitcase.

Quiet enough to have it next to my bed and have it on the #2 speed. Oscillation works well, until it doesn't. Have to contact customer support because the top touch controls don't seem to want to work any more. I can turn it on, but not off. I doesn't want to rotate any more, unless I unplug and replug it. Sometimes it'll turn clockwise just fine, but when I touch the controls, it refuses to budge. Didn't last 4 months but the fan is okay, I just have to forcefully rotate it myself.

I needed something compact but also nice looking and this met the criteria. I'm using it by the bed to stay cool and it's working. There's 4 speeds on it but really there's like 3 honestly, the first setting is really semi-off, but it's fine, full blast is how i leave on all. Also when I received mine, I was hearing a dull knocking on the lower setting, but once it got adjusted after spinning for some time it went away. Now keeps me cool for desktop work and sleep. B-)

It’s actually really nice, not too loud, but audible, blows out a ton of air and I love the modern feel of it. Vornado is also very reputable in the fan world.

We have the large Vornado and love it. This desk top version is nothing like the large one. We found the controls extremely difficult to use, but then again we didn’t have much time to figure them out. The fan quit working after a couple weeks. Very disappointing given to power and durability of its big brother.

Best fan ive ever got. Its small, not loud, great for my work desk.

Perfect for the desk or some smaller spaces. I use it by the nightstand. During the day, the rotation keeps the room’s air flowing and moving which also cools the room down too.

I did buy the fan. The fan was made to small for me to use. I knew it would not blow enough cool air in the room that I mainly be in.

Didnt last ver long. Broke down in less than a year. Takes a while to turn on.

It is quite which is nice and plenty of speeds to pick from. The only thing I don't really care for is that it spins in a circle if you touch the top because it is all touch based. I do wish it was maybe 2 inch taller as well as it is on my desk and blows on my chest and would be nice it it got some of my face.

Great lil thang!! Works much better than I thought it would’ve! Money well spent. Don’t be deterred by the small size of it, like my wife tells me.. size doesn’t matter!!

Excellent quality and provides efficient cooling on a desktop. It is amazing how it cools the air.

this thing is garbage and so is Best Buy's return policy of 15 days just trying to sell it imitation Prime the only way to get a decent return window is to pay them $179 bucks a year? I don't think so.

When you want a fancy fan by your bed, this is it! It works well and isn't too noisy

You have to be real close to this fan to fill air !

Purchased in Sept 23 and it stopped working in Nov. Vornado replaced the unit in Dec and that stopped working in Jan. I use it in a TINY office with no smoke, no dust, no need for anything to push heavy amounts of air. This fan can't handle being run a maximum of 8 hours a week.
