Having owned 3 Vornado fans, I am a great admirer of the Vornando "circulator" technology. My Vornado fans produce an incredible vortex column of moving air with large air volumes ( as measured in CFM's or FPM's) but none of my old fans oscillate. I wanted a Vornando fan that delivered similar power as my other Vornado fans but also had the ability to oscillate. On paper, The Vornado OZi42dc Tower Fan seemed perfect. This fan had similar CFM wind power as my other Vornado fans, had 99 power settings, timer, oscillates and had the Vornado name and technology behind it. Perfect right? Unfortunatley not. Everything worked perfectly on the fan except it simply did not have the power that my other fans had (despite the "objective" advertised CFM or FPM measurements listed on both the Best Buy / Vornado Websites indicating it should have had the same power as my other Vornado fans). After givng this fan I good trial period ( I really wanted to like it), I tried to return the fan to my local Best Buy ( as I was still within my acceptable "return period"). Because I purchased the fan from a 3rd party seller ( "Electronic Express") using the Best Buy Online website, I was told by my local Best Buy that I needed to return it to the third party marketplace seller. When I requested a refund from the seller informing them I was still within the stated Best Buy return period, the seller stated they are a third party marketplace seller and and are not obliged to follow the Best Buy general policies. I appealed to my local Best Buy store but was told Best Buy has no control over third party sellers regarding the Best Buy marketplace . In short, if you are expecting the legenday"Vornado" power from this fan, you will probably be disappointed. And if you are going to purchase this fan ( or any other item from the Best Buy website), DO NOT PURCHASE FROM A BEST BUY THIRD PARTY SELLER( like Electronic Express), as they are not obliged to offer you the normal Best Buy assurances that are afforded to you at your local Best Buy store.

this fan is awesome! it levels everything up with the ability to oscillate and have so many different levels to get the air flow just right. This works well both in the open living room and in the smaller bedroom. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent fan for my son’s dorm. It has adjustable fan speed and it oscillates to fill the whole room with cool air. I purchased a second one for our home and have it near the furnace vent to help move more cooler air in the same room. I would buy again.

This is a really good fan. I don't even have to put it up to the highest/coolest speed. Well worth the money, you will regret it.
