A: No - it will not work with sliding windows.
Q: My window is 26 1/2" will this fit?

A: I wouldn't recommend it as it is designed to fit inside the window itself. The profile is very slom and doesn't reduce windowsill space much if at all.
Q: Can this fan be used in a vertical sliding window?
A: The Transom Window Fan is designed for horizontal installation only. Using it in the vertical orientation will put a strain on the motor and could affect the output and longevity.
Q: Is there a filter on this? Will it bring pollen into the house?
A: There is no filter but it is designed so that you keep your window screen down while its installed so it will only be able to blow in what makes it past the window screen
Q: does the fan reverse for exhaust
A: This unit does reverse for exhaust.
