I bought the VTech CS5119-16 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System (Red) about two days ago for our home landline, and honestly, it’s been a great buy for the price. We mainly keep a landline as a backup, so I wasn’t looking for anything too fancy—just something that works well, looks nice, and is easy to use. This phone definitely checks those boxes! Pros: -Clear Sound: Calls are crisp and clear. I can walk all around the house (even upstairs) without any static or drops. The DECT 6.0 tech really makes a difference. -Easy Setup: Setup was super simple—just plug in the base, charge the handset, and you’re good to go. The menus are easy to figure out, and the screen is backlit so you can see it even in dim light. -Nice Design: The red color looks really sharp! It’s a fun change from the usual black or gray phones and adds a nice pop of color to my kitchen counter. -Expandable: You can add extra handsets later if you want more around the house. That’s a big plus for me since we might add one upstairs soon. -Good Value: For what you get, this phone is a solid deal. Reliable connection, good range, and it feels well-built for the price. Cons: -No Answering Machine: This model doesn’t come with a built-in answering system. I didn’t realize that at first, so just be aware that you’ll have to rely on your phone company’s voicemail. -Volume Could Be Louder: The ring and speakerphone volume are okay, but I do wish they were a little louder—especially if you’re in another room. -Basic Features Only: It’s a simple phone. Easy to use home phone that looks stylish and has quality sound, an easy to use keypad and screen to view options and see missed calls, dialed/received calls, etc. Cordless lightweight handheld device. Charges quickly and battery lasts a long time when left away from docking station. Option for message machine if desired.

I love the home phone. I have one in my bedroom and the main one in the living room. It’s easy to work and I love that I can turn it on speaker and when talking everyone can hear me.

Great value fon the capability long range and csll clarity

Easy to use once you read the manual. I downloaded the manual from the web and copied, customized and printed the instructions i needed to use a phone like this that I never had before. At 79 years old, it was hard to read the small printed paper instructions, thus the download.

Most likely one of the few people with a house phone. My Uniden died after a good decade of service. Replaced the upstairs phone with a VTech. I knew I wanted another VTech in the house. Great addition to mancave/office. The reliability and the user interface is my top options on why I went with the VTech. You can get other models in red but with the desktop or wall hanging capability. Nice to free up desk with having this on the wall. Very easy to get connected to Spectrum Voice services. The newer 6.0 frequency with the digital technology is just amazing. Calls are crystal clear. I have had this phone for about 45 days and is a great buy in my mind. Two thumbs up

Good battery life sound and clarity. Build quality is OK, the plastic feels kind of like a cheap toy but it is holding up well with my family that can be kind of hard on phones.

I have used this style phone for years. My only complaint is that the replacement battery costs $9.95 plus shipping fora total of $19.95 and you can purchase a new phone at Best Buy for $21.95,
