Q: Looking to buy for my son what are the advantages or disadvantages for all the additions?
A: In the Gold edition, you get the season pass, Watch Dogs 1 complete edition, four heroes, and either three or four missions. I would recommend however to wait to buy it until 2021 or December 2020 because multiplayer comes out on December 3rd. The season pass items do not release until 2021. One advantage is that is a fun game if you are a fan of the previous two games. Some disadvantages are it crashes frequently, which is worrisome for an AAA game. The main story is only 10 - 12 hours long, depending on your approaches and how quickly you complete the missions. I personally had about 20 characters once I completed the story, which is really saying something about the length of the game. Other than this, it is a pretty decent game and it is one of my favorites!
Q: if i install this can i play right away.
A: For standard edition, you will be able to play at midnight on Oct 29. Gold and Ultimate editions come with 3 days early access and usually have a different time when you can play. I'd keep an eye on Ubisoft's twitter for actual release times for the Gold and Ultimate.
