Pro: it certainly pulls humidity out of the air. Big bucket, drain option is convenient, swing vent helps move air around, solid construction, sturdy castors. Cons: tons of very hot air barrels out of this thing. There is supposed to be three fan settings, but the lowest setting is what I would consider high. It does not maintain a 5% humidity range. It will swing 5 to 7% above or below the setting you have selected before turning on or off. To start with you can only select a 5% increment setting. Such as 45% or 50% but if set at 45% it will frequently keep running when the humidity level drops to 38% and I have to turn it off. Or the humidity level in the room will get up to 51% and it still hasn’t turned on. For these two reasons, I would definitely not buy this particular brand or not. I understand some of that range needs to be for the energy star rating, but for these two reasons I would not buy this unit again.
