    Very efficient

I bought this Waykar unit to replace another brand that I had used for my basement at a previous home. The old unit was way too noisy to use in my new home and based on reviews, I purchased this model for a more quiet experience. It is way better than my old unit. I can let it run all day without being bothered by the noise. Its more like a box fan noise verses a small aircraft. I love the digital screen for displaying the humidity levels and ease of adjusting to my desired level. I do wish it would have an automatic shut off for when the reservoir was full and not have to check it to see if it is in need of emptying.

    Excellent dehumidifier

Purchased dehumidifer a few months ago and it is working great. Had a musty smell in finished basement, set it up for 30% humidity with drain going to pit for sump pump. Within a day of setup the musty smell dissapated. Over several rainy days i have had no issues with moisture. This works very well serving ~1000 sq ft basement. I dont have to dump out the bucket making for very convient setup.

    From Musty to Fresh

Had to replace the old dehumidifier that barely did its job. Decided on a long term solution and brought the waykar, it might’ve been an over kill to go with the 150 pint but it was super easy to set up and did its job within a second. The cold and wet dampness is no longer a lingering problem for me!

    Happy

I've been very happy with this dehumidifier so far. It was easy to set up right out of the box and started removing moisture from the air quickly. The controls are simple to use, and it runs quietly compared to other units I've be The water tank is easy to remove and empty, and the overall design is clean and compact enough to fit well in the space without being an eyesore. Since using it, the room feels noticeably more comfortable and less damp. Overall, this seems to be a well-made dehumidifier that does exactly what it is supposed to do. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable unit at a reasonable price.

Questions & Answers

  • How often does it need empty

It comes with a pump and hose hookup if you have somewhere for it to drain. Otherwise it depends on the relative humidity in the room. During humid periods, I may need to empty it every other day. Other times, once a week.

    Answered by Andrew

  • Will this unit let you set a humidity level and then the unit will run until that setting is met and then the unit will shutoff until it needs to start back up when the level gets too high?

    Yes, you explained it exactly.

    Answered by user327317

  • Can you hook up a garden hose to this!

Yes. It supports a standard 3/4-inch garden hose for continuous drainage. Garden hose not included.

    Answered by johnnie

  • Can this go in a 4 ft crawl space

Yes, it can work in a 4 ft crawl space as long as there is enough clearance for airflow and maintenance. The unit is rated up to 7,000 sq. ft., so it is more than sufficient for a typical crawl space of that size.

    Answered by Anonymous

  • How long is the drain hose on each of the models?

The unit includes a drain hose (about 23.63 inches long) and also supports a 2.38-gallon water tank. You can choose either continuous draining with the hose or empty the tank when it’s full.
