I've used three of these drives in the past and have had no problem at all. The one I received was defective and had to be replaced by WD under warranty. Their replacement took twice as long as told by the support staff (nearly 3 weeks).

Great quiet and reliable hard drive

The hard drive was perfect right out of the box. It is super quiet and responsive. I love the fact that it has 8TB of storage and the reliability of Western Digital. Highly recommend for your storage needs. I didn't need the performance of a gaming hard drive, but I appreciate the reliability of this drive backed by a 5 year western digital warranty. It is also CMR versus the SMR style of similarly sized/priced Seagate drives.

Good drive for a good price!

Sometimes you dont need to be the fastest! Sometimes you gotta be the strongest. This drive will hold a massive amount of data at a good speed too. Using one for my Plex server but I want another one to hold older games that dont need SSD speeds. It looks cool too.

I purchased the item hoping to upgrade my PC storage but it came DOA when I went to return it to the store there were none in stock and I was forced to do a refund very disappointed
