I'm a novice when it comes to computer stuff and I didn't think upgrading to a ssd drive would make that big of a difference compared to a conventional hard drive. I was blown away at the the difference in speed with games, in saving and retrieving audio and video files. Pretty significant upgrade. Temps stay preety low too! Kinda cool you can change the led color in the wd app too!

Exactly what I was looking for! Easy enough to setup for a console player such as myself that has zero experience with external/ internal components.

Very satisfied. Very fast. No need to buy the PlayStation branded one for the extra cost. This one does the same job. Same exact specs...

Best bang for your BUCK!!!! I got this when it’s on sale and needed it for my PS5!

Wow i was ising a hdd and switched my os to this and ot starts up in lightning speed love it.

Works great PlayStation runs smooth and haven’t had a problem with it

Great stuff for my ps5. WD always makes great products for storage but

Picked this up on sale to expand my PS5 storage. Really easy to use, took about 5 minutes to get it in and all is working well now.

I ordered this memory storage upgrade for a PlayStation 5 as a Christmas gift, and it couldn’t have worked out better. It arrived quickly and right on time, which took a lot of stress out of holiday shopping. Installation was easy and the PS5 recognized it instantly. Performance is just as fast as the internal storage, with no lag or slowdowns at all. The extra space makes a huge difference, especially with today’s large games. No more deleting titles just to make room for new ones. The person I bought it for absolutely loved it, and it’s been running flawlessly. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-performance storage upgrade for a PS5, this is a fantastic choice.

Purchased this drive for PlayStation 5 storage upgrading. I'm quite impressed. At first I was never going to upgrade the storage becausse I usually only have one or two games at a time installed so space isn't a concern. However this drive ends up edging out the internal storage in speeds and it shows. Even when installing and loading the new God of War Ragnarok game there are seconds of differences in load times that add up to an even more pleasant experience. The build, fir, and finish the the drive is quite nice and it's a good price for an additional terabyte of storage. Finally, for me, there's a peace of mind knowing that IF a drive were to wear out, I'd rather it be the replaceable one over the internal one. I know that's highly unlikely with todays storage tech but it's nice to think about.

This SSD delivers on its promises with read speeds up to 7,300 MB/s and writes around 6,300 MB/s, making game loads lightning-quick and file transfers a breeze. In real-world use, games like large open-world titles boot up noticeably faster than on older drives, and PS5 game transfers/installs feel seamless without any thermal throttling thanks to the included heatsink—it stays cool even during extended sessions (temps in the mid-40s under load). The heatsink design looks sleek and fits perfectly in the PS5 slot, no issues at all. It's reliable with strong endurance (600 TBW rating) and a solid 5-year warranty from WD. The WD Dashboard software is handy for monitoring and firmware updates. No major downsides—it's pricey compared to budget options, but you get what you pay for in top-tier performance and build quality. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a premium, future-proof SSD for gaming or content creation. Worth every penny!

Needed more internal storage for my new PC build and got this. Works amazingly, insanely fast transfer speeds when moving stuff between drives, games load quicker with the benefits of DirectStorage, and plenty of space for the games I play

Works great. Easy install on ps5. Comes with screws. Heat sink works and it keeps it cool.

Never buy SSD's at retail. Always wait for a sale as there is always one somewhere. The WD SB850X is perfect additional SSD for the PD5. It is easy to install and works with no issues. Just watch the YouTube video on how to install. The only tool you will need is a small Phillips screw driver for the set screw. Always ground yourself before working on electronics. Static electricity is your enemy!

I installed one in a ps5 and it works great loads up really fast than having it on the ps5 memory on my pc i upgraded it from 850 regular not the x and it dont make much of differences but it is a little smoother in real world scenario i guess its just knowing you have the best at the moment i guess

Arrive promptly as scheduled. Easy to install and works flawlessly. Got it on sale and well worth the price.

Is a powerhouse for storage enthusiasts. With lightning-fast speeds and a generous 1TB capacity, it delivers exceptional performance for gaming, multimedia editing, and more. Its PCIe Gen 4 interface ensures blazing-fast data transfer, making it an excellent choice for demanding tasks. Upgrade your storage game with this reliable and high-performance SSD.

The WD internal SSD product preforms as advertised and it was easy to install.

Easy to install, with lots of storage space. Happy with purchase

Works as advertised. It was extremely easy to install it in my PS5 and started working immediately. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that is looking to upgrade their gaming storage at a decent price. Quality is amazing and the speeds are great. I would buy this item again.
