I can honestly say that I have NEVRER experienced a problem with any WD SSD, regardless of size, format, architecture, etc, and I've put a lot of them in customer systems. This drive is a whole lot faster than [if you have one] an HDD, and definitely more reliable, as there are no moving parts. If you already have the appropriate, for what your doing, amount of RAN...Installing an SSD is your next upgrade step! BTW, think about opting for a bigger than current-size drive, you may need the space in the future and not that much more costly! If you're comfortable working around the innards of your 'puter, you should be able to do it yourself, if not, call your favorite 'Puter Tech

I bought this back in December and woke up today to my system not starting and bios showing the SSD was non-existent. I tried out a spare SSD and it was quickly recognized by the system in bios. Used multiple pcie connectors and SATA cables/ports on the mobo and no luck getting it to work, will have to replace this now and I'm unable to return or exchange it.

This has performed flawlessly and it was a snap to install in a USB HD enclosure but would perform equally as well as a main internal drive -- very fast and silent. My first order of business out of the box was to format which took about 30 seconds. Love it and I highly recommend.

It's a decent drive at a decent price. I'm not really a fan of western digital drives for the past decade or so but so far this drive has performed well. I'll update the review if it fails like so many other WD drives ave failed on me inn the past. Installation was simple. Formatted and installed Windows 11 with no need for F6 drivers. Pretty happy overall.

I had to rebuild my pc and didn't figure I needed a full 1 TB drive, so this was perfect. It performed perfectly and has been working just the same for the last week. Speed is great of course and there is plenty of room for my system and for all my files. The price was right, the performance is great and delivery was quick and accurate.

I bought this drive as a replacement for an SSD drive in a refurbished laptop that went flakey from the start. Mostly because this one happened to be on sale discounted by nearly HALF! Just what I wanted considering I was not looking to spend a ton on fixing a refurb laptop. I put this drive in, installed Windows and it has been smooth (and fast) sailing ever since. I don't know how much can really be said about one SSD vs. another these days, they are a bit of a commodity item at this point. But I can say I have been buying Western Digital products for as many years as I can remember (especially in Mechanical drives) so I trust the name Western Digital. And so far I've never had issues with this brand, so I will continue to trust it.
