I needed to turn in some projects for my job, and this helped immensely. I was able to handover everything my boss needed, and not worry about taking out space on my computer.

Trusted Brand - I've been using these for years, and they haven't failed me, yet, although other brands have. I get a new one every so often, just to make sure, since nothing lasts forever, but my stack of old ones going back many long years are all still good. These are the only ones I ever trust to backup my lifetime of photos and important documents.

This product helped save my laptop. I was running out of space and couldn't do anything. I was able to move all none essential files which opened up 40 gb of space. This saved me from buying a new laptop and spending another $1300.00

Use it mostly for videos and edits I make, work and even for hobby projects on the side, been great purchase since. Been trusting and using WD products since Highschool, and that was 7 years and still trusting their products.

Solid amount of storage I used for my media folder (music/movies) to have more free space on my main computer. Was easy to use and the portability/ability to interchange between computers allows me to listen to my music even at my office job.

Bought this to expand my PS5 storage, Instead of using the SSD drive I’ll use this for the PS4 games which they don’t need the SSD that the PS5 games need, so far the hard drive it’s being working flawless, totally recomendable.

Largest hard portable hard drive I could find that didn’t need its own power supply from the maker of the safest drives. I’d never use anything other than Western Digital. I just wish I could get these in 10Tb or larger. I put a strip of Velcro on the bottom so I could mount it in my MacBook case, my MacBook will hold 4 on the screen before the weight gets to much. Would like to see USB-C only cords though with an adapter for USB-A instead of vice versa, but one can obtain cheap cords elsewhere.

Best Buy had plenty of hard drives to choose from. This WD external hard drive was a bargain for the storage capacity and has been reliable so far!

I bought this drive to store my DVD and CD collection. I have had no problems with it, and am able to plug it into my TV and watch movies from it.

An updated version with more storage space, this backup device is my second purchase. WD has done a great job by now providing a refined 3rd party software that easily backs up any computer and provides an easy way to pick and choose files, folders or complete multi-drive restoration.

I got this for my new XBox Series X. It was a piece of cake; just plug it into the USB on the back and follow the standard procedure for formatting. (NOTE!) You cannot use this as the installation drive for XBox Series X-specific games. You’ll know which ones fit this criterion because it has an X | S logo on the tile on the game list. You can install and play XBox One and XBox 360 games directly from the drive, and you can move XBox X | S games to it for storage when you need more room on the internal memory. Just keep in mind that you will have to move the X | S game back before playing.

I love Western Digital My Passport 5tb External Hard Drives. I have purchased several. Always easy to plug in and start adding files. Just don’t ever delete the files that come on it. My nephew has done that before and couldn’t get his to respond. They are great. I highly recommend to everyone!

I love WD products! The Passport is so convenient for travel. Any projects or files that I’m working on, I move over to the Passport, pop it in my travel bag with my laptop and I’m on my way. Once I’m at my destination, I’m able to jump back into work without skipping a beat.

This is a gem. It took lot less time than I was told it might to transfer 300,000+ photos (almost 2TB) from my internal HD to this external one. Not only did it open up space on the 2TB drive, but it now allowa me to access the photos on two separate computers by using the modern version of an old A/B switch. Picture shows A/B switch with Passposrt, printer USB flashdrive and camera card attached to two computers.

Item got here in one day from being ordered, but in that Time...someone was hateful enough to compltetely trash the package. The box was completely ripped-clear across-from one side to the other-obviously forcively. This was done on two of the four sides...seemingly violently. Then the box that the external hardrive came in was near crushed on one side like someone threw it with force at the ground...leaving deep impressions and indentations on it. I had Picked up the package nearly-immediately after the package's delivery...it had the appearance of a hate-crime and vandalism upon first sight. As i had looked at the package i had thought to my self..."the package looks as though someone was in a hurry to open Their present and did Not like it...so They had threw it with extreme force and prejudice...out of a fit of Anger." Damaged goods, tampered-with goods and late arrivals...reminds me Why for over two decades i had preferred to shop at a store...and not online. Same day pick-up, choice of stock, returns welcomed same-day of cause for concern reported-within coveraged time periods and Any concern with the product's mistreatment is at the cash register where employees responsible could have Their supervisor address the issue with occasionally considerate results. Results that on occasion assure that the employee will not do that to another person-usually by extra labor, docked-pay for damaged goods or in a worst-case scenario...being let-go and fired...only to inevitably be replaced by someone who wants the job More and is willing to do a good job-or better than the previous employee-or else the cycle Then repeats itself. For mistreatment based-off of singling someone or multiple people-out is discrimination...and i have had a lot of that similar sort of treatment with packages these past two years. The item was on sale, but arrived damaged and Not properly cared for...Any item ranging near-to or over $100 ought to have better care in treatment than the average package...for some of Those items can Not be replaced. It is unprofessional to treat something pricey in such a way to say the least. Not everyone has enough currency for Those sort of Matters to Not be of a Concern to Them. For Some Time spent hashing-out returns or refunds are just as undesirable as Those very Businesses willingness to do so. These Anxieties should Not have to be common place. My personal experience put aside. I am familiar to these external hardrives and i like Them as of yet. Item is Neatly packaged and does Not need to be pkugged into an outlet to function...just a coresponding USB capable ready to use connection...devices will vary. For that i suggest changing the data's file type. Item is small, portable and durable...also comes in a few different colors for personalized preference. Being compact means easy to store away some place for future use. Each and every hardrive does not permit the amount presented. That is usually preset and determined by the manufacturer varyingly. Meaning that some hardrives hidden storage space is being used at varying amounts of storage space based off the-usually small amount in comparisson made available for use-to properly run the software, store and maintain the data. Usually with a few accesible files already available for storing the data on a back-up online profile of sorts and/or added features of security by being redirected to an online site. Though some only come with software to make the hardrive have easy access and compatability...though these features all vary depending upon name brand or logo. The more storage space an external hardrive has...the more storage space-usually in gigabytes-that the manufactures will in accessable storage space already taken-up and unavailable...that amount is a variable-despite two different hardrives from different sources holding a total amount of same storage space. Though aside from my personal delivery experience...People can consider the rest as my own personal opinion that Some might agree with, partial agree with, not at all agree with...or just do not care to read further into-whatever the reason might be. As for price; the listing was greatly reduced, showing that the item was on sale. So to say the least about that; it was a deal for myself-and might still be for another later on, but the reality...is that in a few years to a decade or more...there will eventually be external hardrives that carry double digits in terabytes of data or more...for about the same amount. So for now; Those that can, might or will put These external hardrives to use, yes this currently an appropriate listing price...for myself at least. Though there are some external hardrives up to 12 terabytes already available-Those are Not yet portable devices-Those require to be plugged-in an outlet for Their use of convenience. Other than that...the product description already tells the buyer most of the descriptions of publicly considered need to know information.

Compact, durable, easy to connect, and did I mention portable. Why risk not having the information you need. Take it with you! Worked quite well even running through a 4 port USB connector.
