DOA. The drive would not even power up. I have purchased many of these 6TB Red Plus drives and this is the first that would not even power up. Have had several power up with dreaded clicking noise. I'm not sure what is worse. The manufacture date of this drive was 10 March 2026. I'm sure ground FedEx from Georgia to San Francisco in a half empty box didn't help. Of course with the current drive shortage BestBuy couldn't replace but I got a prompt refund. Unfortunately replacing the drive will cost more than what this one cost. Darn data centers! 3 out of 5 stars for good product but bad luck...

I ordered a pair of these for a home NAS right before the prices started skyrocketing. They were delivered quickly in a well packaged box and are performing great so far.

Best Buy is selling dead on arrival hard disk and it’s very hard to get replacement. They are dodgy when it’s comes for defective item to get equal replacement. When I asked them they refunded to card. I bought this for 170$ and current price bumped to 230$. They didn’t want to replace because they will be at loss. They told me order new one instead of getting replaced.

It's good and all, but it's never going to beat an SSD.

Dead on arrival when purchased. Didn't realize it was 15 day return window, and going through the warranty process. Already had to pay for shipping, Western Digital claimed I wasn't charged when I followed up, and been 3 weeks and still waiting on the replacement. Will definitely reconsider Western Digital going forward and a bit annoyed with Best Buy as well.
