A: There is a physical button on the switch, it's a push button that functions for both turning the switch on and off. There is a noticeable click feel to the push button, much like pressing the power or volume buttons on a smart phone. However, I have come across a couple of defective units where the push button mechanism does not work nor could you feel any click while pressing the button; and Belkin had to replace those units. The replacement units worked just as they should with the physical button. As for the Wi-Fi feature, you can use that independently of the push button. Google home and Alexa work fantastically with voice commands, as well as the apps for Wemo, Google home, and alexa. And just to further clarify, you don't even need the Wi-Fi function if you don't want it, since the button works just as well as any regular on/off light switch. Probably a more detailed explanation than you asked for, just wanted to give you a good bit a feedback since I have over a dozen of these switches in my home; a combination of single pole, 3 way, and power outlet switches. All of them have a physical on/off button, and can literally be turned on and off by any means. You can turn it on with the push button, and then turn it off with voice/app command, and visa versa. The nice thing about the apps is that it keeps track of which switch is on, so when you pull up the list on your account, it'll already know which ones are on or off, and flip it once you click on that switch. Hope this info helps your decision, I'm certainty happy with my switches so far, even after Belkin made good on giving me replacements for my defective units.
Q: What is the difference between Wemo wifi smart dimmer WDS060 and F7C059?
A: The Wemo Smart Dimmer WDS060 is the newer version of the Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Dimmer F7C059. It has a different hardware and firmware from the old version. The LED indicator of the Wemo WDS060 is a ring light around the power logo while the Wemo F7C059 has a LED light bar. This efficient design makes the Wemo WDS060 less expensive than the Wemo F7C059.
