A: This can be vented outside.
Q: This has a rack in it. Is it microwave safe? If not is it an oven also? Why the rack?
A: The rack is safe for microwave use. It is so you can heat two dishes at a time. However, they recommend removing it if only heating one item. That I do not really understand. I was leaving it in place when only heating on lower level and it was fine. But, when I placed a bag of popcorn on the bottom, it sparked when the paper bag inflated and touched the rack above it. Fortunately, no harm was done. Luckily it removes very easily because I really do not want to store it someplace else.

A: Not at all. This is the very best microwave I have ever owned and I have owned many. This is quieter, has more functions, larger, and we love it. I love the Whirlpool microwave and absolutely recommend it highly.
A: The numbers are not, but there is a +30 seconds button that will start it cooking right away. I usually just press that twice for one minute cooking.
A: Check the dimensions on the microwave you currently have compared to the one you want to buy. The inside cubic ft does not necessarily determine the outside size.
Q: Can the beeps and tones be silenced?
A: Yes. You can turn off all sounds using the Clock menu button. Just follow the menu choices (which include turning off just the beeps or turning off all sounds).

Great microwave!!
So i just installed this. Insallation was pretty easy. I love the look and the inside is a grey color that i love and looks easy to clean. The only thing i dont like is the light under the bottom of microwave is in the very back, my last microwave had the light up front so when using my stove i had that light to light up my cooking area, this one is to far back to do that so im searching for a light bar to attach under this. It seems to run quiet.

Great unit for the price. A popcorn lovers delight
We replaced our old whirlpool microwave after it started having some issues. This new model has a lot better features. The quick pick menus are great, and the new sensors really do a great job of evenly heating up food, and poping popcorn down to almost the last kernal. The fan is a bit noisy still, but it's effective. The light is good, it illuminates the cook top adequately. The stainless steel easily wipes clean and doesn't streak. Overall a good solid unit. Installation was quick and easy, I decided due the "pandemic" to install it myself. It took less than 30 minutes.
