I don't know what the "recommended setting" is, and u didn't address my question: Which way to turn dial in freezer in order to have less cold air flow to the main compartment bc food suddenly freezes. Clockwise or counterclockwise?
Answered by WhirlpoolTeamHello! On the dial it would say "Recommended." On the control in the freezer section it would state from left to right (Max, Recommended, Min.) In the Refrigerator section you would move the dial to right for a warmer setting. The less snowflakes the less cold. In freezer-top Whirlpool fridge, there is a dial in the freezer that controls temp. Which way should I turn the dial to set the temperature higher? Freezer has been well below zero F and lower part sometimes reaches 32F or lower. Bought from you 8/27/22.

By changing the airflow setting to Max, cold air is drawn from the freezer and used to cool the refrigerator.
