I’m trying to like this machine. It has a sensor to detect how much water to use, but when I open the lid to check the progress, the water is not covering all of the clothes. I think I just need to get used to this. And I think that’s because of the cycle I chose. I’m used to letting the machine fill with water, add detergent, then add laundry. This top load machine requires that you add detergent, then the clothes, and then the water. Just weird. It is quiet, though.

This is my second time buying this washer after 7 years. It is affordable in price and works very well.

I was skeptical to get a new washer that was HE. I had a 17yr old agitator model that could no longer be fixed. This model had the agitator (although it does not move as fast as old models) and was basic. It does use less water...you will usually see clothes above the water line. But so far I have not seen any cleaning problems. It has several options (bulky setting uses more water) so read up on the manual to optimize for the load. It also takes some time to run a load, especially with extra rinse or soak. I think on average a load now takes an hour, but the clothes come out rather dry and I do believe I use less water with less wear-and-tear on the clothes during the cycles. It is not that noisy. Normal clicks and swirl noises, but less noisy than my old one. It also seems to handle large loads without balance problems. Overall, 4 stars due to the desire to have an option for a bit more water, but I recommend this washer because it is just how HE washers are now no matter the model.

My new Whirlpool washer gets the clothes very clean, is very quiet, and spins the clothes so well that they almost feel dry coming out of the machine. I have only had it a couple of weeks but I am impressed and very satisfied with its efficiency, and would highly recommend buying this Whirlpool brand.

This washer replaced my very old one. We bought this one based on the price and it had good reviews. The first time using it, I thought something was wrong. It seemed loud and was very easy to go out of balance. The washer will try to fix itself but after a few failed attempts it will just stop and the clothes are still wet. The lid lock is such a pain to work with. It will not unlock until it stops moving completely. You think the load is finished, but you have to wait for it to unlock. If the washer gets confused, you will need to unplug the machine to get the lid to unlock. Once it started making a grinding noise we called it in for service. Whirlpool was great at servicing it. The first visit he replaced some of the moving parts. It didn’t work, so he came back to replace the spindle. After a month a bolt came loose and it started making noise again. Service came out and this time replaced every moving part, which seemed to finally fix the grinding noise. We don’t get as many out of balance loads now. The washer finally seems to work as it was designed. However, I’m going to think twice about buying a low end model in the future.

As washers go, they all do the job of getting clothes clean. The Whirlpool does a fine job of that, holds a lot of clothes and towels. Once you get all the choices for settings figured out It's very versatile. It doesn't have every bell and whistle, it doesn't send you a text message when It's done. With the extra rinse it does make for a very long cycle but it does have a quick wash feature. If you want well priced and dependable, you will like this one.

I recently needed a washer/dryer set for my new house. I was considering a front loading set but quickly realized it was a bit over my budget. I decided to give this set a try and I couldn't be more happy with its performance...and it was within my budget.

It’s a good washing machine. It’s very quiet but the only downfall is that it takes too long to wash.

Was a little afraid about the low water options, so this is a good quality/mid price range option that uses less water but still feel you get good performance. Easy to follow directions, so far excellent job with average soil level and bulky items.

I just purchased a new home and the existing front load washer needed to be replaced due to mold. This is slightly larger than my old washer and it does an awesome job.

Glad they brought back 2 action agitator. Cleans well and plenty of options. Like the Deep Water for both wash and rinse. Relatively quiet as it goes through cycles.

This washer cleans much better than our old one at nearly half the price plus it’s simple enough that I can use it when my wife usually did most of the laundry!

So far so good with my new washer. My previous washer, also purchased at Best Buy, was a basic Amana. It lasted 5 years before it stopped doing final spin and drain. I don’t understand why there are so many noises mixed in with extended periods of nothing happening but so far so good.
