Problem 1: I should have unpacked it right away to find out that it was scratched rather than wait until my contractor was going to install it (several weeks after my purchase). Like another review stated, mine was obviously scratched. There was a rough squarish shape that looked like it had a different finish (around the buttons) and two scratches that extended beyond two of the 'sides'. Yes, it seems like the scratches were made at the factory and are related to the "protective film" though I didn't get to see it before the plumber/installer had removed it. He then told me about it. (I'll add a photo if I can update this review) Problem #2 was that it was too late to do anything about it because it was past the return date when I called Best Buy. At least I like that it uses a regular light bulb and that it works. I hadn't had a working range hood in years, and now I have an almost all-new kitchen.

Functions extremely well has two different fans settings, which is super nice and helps with steam. Personally, I just love the aesthetic. Makes me excited to update my cabinets this spring to match the sleekness

Hood vent arrived well packed. Once removed from the box it is covered in a protective film covering it to protect it. However, it looks like they used a razor knife to cut out the film around buttons for the fan and light and scratched the stainless steel. I would like to get it replaced but I'm worried that one will be scratched as well. Not sure why they use a sharp object ti cut out tjus section.

It works great, light is bright and fan is quiet when used.

Does what it is supposed to do. I believe my buttons/switches are black. They look steel colored in this picture. I personally didn't care, but it might matter to someone. Also, one of the spot welds was missing. Didn't affect the functionality of the product though so I kept it.

This range hood is solid, but it's very simple. Perfect if you are looking for something inexpensive. One warning -- our range outlet is odd, it's not in the cabinetry as it should be, it's towards the floor. They had to do a special installation to get it hooked up properly. They did a great job, but wish I had known going in.

Good lighting and very simple to use. Easy to install as well.

has a nice bright light and fan that isn't too loud

I wasn't able to see this product in person in the store prior to purchase and honestly just wanted something that did what it's supposed to do. And it does...however, had I known what it looked like in person, I probably wouldn't have spent as much as I did knowing what it looked like. Not really pleased with the look at all. But like I said, it does what it's supposed to do. I didn't rate a 5 due to the appearance not being very appealing.

This model looks great with my new stove. The fan appears to be quiet as well.

Needed for one of my rental units , this was about the only one available to fit my need , the unit could be a little moore powerfull and have a third speed otherwise just fine

What makes this hood special is that no vent is needed; however, you will need to install the Carbon filter. We do not have a vent and I did not want to cut my cabinet, so this hood was the best choice to go with our Black stainless appliances. Also has a very modern design. BTW it also has an adjustable vent, if you prefer, you can use top or back

The fume hood instal was quick and easy, the gentlemen that installed it were very cordial and the product itself works great!

This product was sold as an Open Box - Excellent condition. That couldn't be further from the truth. It was visually denting badly on one side (dropped more than likely), the install tabs were bent the wrong way and then we couldn't use them and had to make our own way to hand it, and then once installed, the light socket wasn't working. Best Buy online customer service could offer nothing but a refund. Our energy, time, and stress in needing this the day before Thanksgiving meant nothing to them even though they sold us a clearly untested item.

Love range good. It works great. Looks nice in my new kitchen
