I purchased this dryer to replace a 20-year-old Kenmore that had finally failed beyond my ability to maintain. Delivery was smooth and installation was very simple -- use a wrench to install the four legs, adjust for leveling (important!), and use a screwdriver to attach the power cable. The dryer runs smoothly and no louder nor quieter than any other dryer I've ever used. There was about a half hour's runtime worth of "burn-off" smells, which is to be expected, and mentioned in the manual. After this break-in process, there are no unusual smells. The settings knob has a nice, solid feel to it, and everything is very easy to understand without consulting the manual: decide whether you want a timed cycle or a moisture-sensed cycle, choose your setting, choose the heat, and go. My first use of the dryer was to test the moisture sensing function, as I've never owned a dryer that used one. Using the "Wrinkle Control" setting (which defaults to "Low" heat,) the dryer took approximately 45 minutes to dry an average-sized load of clean laundry (a week's worth of cotton T-shirts, socks, undergarments, a few pillowcases, and one heavy flannel.) In the final few minutes, the moisture indicator switched from "Wet" to "Cool" before automatically stopping and shutting off the power. Results were good, as everything except the flannel was soft, wrinkle-free, and fully dried. The flannel came out slightly damp, but I didn't mind that. I'm assuming this unit uses a simple hygrometer (measures moisture in air,) not a little wizard in the drum that grabs everything as it spins to check for dampness. I was satisfied with what this dryer calls "Low" heat, and rarely plan on using any heat setting higher than this (towels and bedding only.) I appreciate that there is an even lower heat setting ("Ex Low") and that it is possible to air dry with no heat whatsoever. Overall, the dryer works well, and as expected. A final note: the buzzer when a cycle ends is LOUD! I stayed in the laundry room during the first run of the machine to make sure nothing went wrong, and it scared the heck out of me. I was expecting some digital tune, or a bell, like most new appliances tend to use. Nope, this is the old school buzzer, meant to be heard across the house. I only docked a star for two reasons. First, upon delivery, the steel back panel was covered in... whatever this is (see attached pictures; the top portion is smeared because I had already began wiping it off.) It was difficult to clean off. The rest of the unit was spotless, and the box showed no signs of water damage, so I have no idea what happened, here. My other complaint is the lint screen: it feels quite cheap and not built to last. It is almost entirely made of flimsy plastic, except for a sheet metal panel which the handle is attached to via plastic clips. It is not smooth to remove from the unit.

Love this dryer. It dries perfectly and buzzes when it's done—no more wrinkles.

This dryer gets clothes clean very fast. It also has moisture sensing, so I never wake up the next morning with my clothes still wet. I like that the door opens from the bottom instead of from the side. It's much better if you have limited space.

After we got the damaged one that originally was delivered everything went smoothly. Works great. Only wish it were flat on top instead of slanted.

Minimal options. Louder than my old dryer. I do like where the lint trap is on top and not near the clothes. Also like the way the door opens

This is the worst dryer you could possibly buy. When it was delivered, it was dented. It also looked used. Doesn’t even dry one load of clothes. I had to line dry them afterwards. The top surface isn’t even flat; it’s slanted. You can’t set anything on top, or else it will fall off. Don’t waste your time buying this dryer.

This Whirlpool dryer was a lemon. I had to run it twice for it to be completely dry. The temp bottom would light up all levels and a pink thread in the dryer. For the washer it doesn't rinse correctly pellets are still in the washer after the load is done. And to get it returned and pick up from my property it’s another battle. Customer service at Best Buy and progressive lease are not on the same page when it comes to doing business. I still can't get a Confirmation for pick-up for both the washer & dryer. What a nightmare never have I had this served with two companies.

Dries your clothes like crazy. Had no idea how bad my old Whirlpool dryer was until I replaced it with this model (it was time). This unit is a couple inches wider than most and the door seems lower. No time / cycle digital display and no end of cycle tones or music. But super easy to use and it does an awesome job. No more "extra time" needed.

This dryer is really good. It dries through on the first cycle and towels come out fluffy. I love all the different settings and how it’s computerized. This is a quiet dryer also. Very happy with my purchase.

I needed an electric dryer quick and cheap. I had a wonderful gas dryer that was quite new and expensive but my new house only had electric. I chose a good quality brand that was a scratch and dent. A bit extreme scratch and dent. It has been an excellent dryer for 2 years that just isn't very pretty, although I really don't notice anymore. Very happy with my choice and the help I got from a manager and salesperson at the store. I eventually gave away the gas dryer.

Overall the dryer works well. The only negative thing is the door opening and closing is stiff and it is a bit noisy when operating!

Purchased the dryer in Sept 2022. Very clean and quiet dryer with multiple settings to properly dry our various clothing fabrics. The moisture sensing seems to work seamlessly and drys properly the first time. Also, the dryer does not seem to have issues with bulky items like comforters or towels.
