Scanner recommended to me by friends who purchased it. Very good quality for the low price. Took me five mins. from the box to have it up and running. Directions very easy. Enjoying it as I write this. (Was shipped almost immediately after purchase). Disabled so didn't have to drive, park and walk in to store, a plus for me.)

These are basically the cheapest scanners on the market. But mine work well. I’m only interested in local and surrounding towns and if placed where it picks up the wave length it works great. I have this and the hand held. I made shelves on 2 windows at opposite ends of my house so I can hear when something is happening in my area. And they work just as good as a $600 dollar one I used to own that only lasted a year. It’s all about placement. Near windows. I don’t need it sitting in the center of my house so I can see it. I need it somewhere where I can hear it.

My personal opinion is that this is a good scanner for the price, I found it hard to program. Maybe someone with a little more programming savvy would give quite a different comment. Good reception. Large display.

This is the first scanner I have ever owned. All I had to do was plug it in and hit scan and it started working immediately!

I bought this Scanner for my older brother. He'd been using one from "long "ago. Not big on change, especially new technology, I had doubts about buying him a new Scanner. But I Scored! He's so happy with it; was able to turn it on and start using! So now I'm very happy!

Works great for a weather alert scanner. I purchased a better longer antenna so I can pick up long distances. I have picked up conversations from people as far away as Miami on the Ham radio scan

It is a great scanner for price! Only problem it doesn't tell you it comes pre programmed for 100 channels.

This scanner is a replacement for a Uniden I had,The reception is great and it is very easy to program.My only complaint (minor one) is it doesn't show the time when it is not on. Very good for the money.

Works as advertised. It's analog, some districts going digital so be sure what your local authorities are using first.

I bought as a gift for my father in law. It works fine and I thought it was pretty cool but he ended up returning it because he is very picky! Would definitely recommend though if you like scanners!

Most radio scanners have to be programmed. This is pre-programmed for the local EMS. We did have to add a few extra ones. Sound is clear.

My husband has been looking for a scanner like this for years. I finally purchased it and he loves all the channels he has been getting.

I bought this for my husband's birthday. Traveled from Cambridge Oh to Heath Oh because I was not familiar with scanners, and needed informed help. The 1st one I bought, my hubby unwrapped it and said why did you get me a cb radio? With a cigarette lighter plug in??? So back we go to Best Buy, explain we didn't want a cb. So we ordered 2nd scanner (neither one was in stock) when it arrived, we couldn't listen to the Sheriff's calls because they were on analog. So ANOTHER trip to Best Buy. We got a refund and not likely to make anymore purchases with Best Buy.

Good scanner, easy to program. Has enough room for frequencies and a wide range of programmable frequencies. Good buy for the price.
