It was OK, but not really a good choice

The child I bought this for is 10. Its his birthday gift. We knew he wouldnt be able to just oick it up and play but, the bridge will not stay on the violin, in order for him to try. We have a few peoole in the family, who do olay instruments, guitar being one of those instruments. No one really plays the violin. However, they both stated the bridge should stay on the violin. There is also one key that cannot be moved, to tune it at all. Anytime its turned, it sort of snaps back to its original place. The strings are not too tight. In fact, they cannot be tightened to tune it. Its beautiful and seems to be good construction though. Just too bad he wont be able to even try to use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
