Great product, and I'm super glad I bought it at Best Buy instead of Target. At Target there were a lot of negative reviews, but I think with how most people at Best Buy are more technology literate there were a ton of positive reviews. I love how you're able to create your own profile and keep track of your weight. You can keep track of other family members weight and there's a setting for choosing being "pregnant" which many other digital scales do not take into account of. The app you use for it is free and it syncs well with a lot of other fitness apps that involve food along with activity tracking. This scale is also not a sore thumb so it's easy to place around a small apartment without it looking out of place, it's a nice sleek/elegant looking scale. Very happy with my purchase!

This scale is incredibly useful for monitoring your body weight and water weight. Unlike many other scales, it also shows your body fat percentage, providing you with more comprehensive information. Once connected to the Withings app, you can easily track your progress. As an added bonus, the scale also provides you with the day's weather forecast, making it a convenient and multifunctional device.

It has been so helpful for losing weight and tracking my body composition. It has finally given me the motivation to stay on top of my health and weight in a meaningful way.

sturdy appliance, the carpet stumps fall off easily when placing in new areas, the display is small and lasts 2 seconds. the app is a subscription con, and the data everywhere, the bluetooth has gaps and needs redo each visit. the real frustration is the app on this scale, is the reason I bought it, and it's a big disappointment.

It’s accurate and very helpful to achieve health goals.

If you are serious about your health, you need to make use of all the new technologies that will help you reach your goals. This scale, in my opinion, is one of the must haves. It measures all your vital body stats and allows you to analyze the trends and take appropriate actions. Here are some details and observations after 2 weeks of regular use. The setup was quick and intuitive. You pull the tab on the back out and activate the batteries, download the "Withings Health Mate" app, press on the back for three seconds for setup mode. Then just follow the instructions on the scale and the app. The scale allows up to 8 user profiles which should be more than enough for most of the families. Each member (16 years or older) in your family will need to install the app on their phone and create an account. The scale automatically identifies the person after the first use. For younger family members, you will need to create a manual account. It has a tough glass platform and a simple design. The platform is quite large so people with big feet can also easily use it. It has a big colorful display which is easy to read. The measurements are quick and get stored in the withings app so you can monitor the trend. Here are the metrics that it records: Weight, BMI, Visceral Fat, Lean Mass, Water Mass and Hear Rate. It also shows the weather report and air quality which I find useful as I usually weigh myself in the morning while getting ready for the day. The health mate app is excellent. It allows you sync data with other fitness apps on your phone. On the android platform (Samsung Galaxy S22+), I was able to connect with Samsung Health, Health Connect, Strava, Google Fit. So, you can use app your choice as your central health dashboard. Overall, I am very happy with this smart scale and highly recommend it. It allows me to keep a tab on my body weight and other vital stats as well as share them with other fitness apps. This allows to gain insights into all aspects of your fitness regime.

Not impressed. This item disconnects from the Wi-Fi constantly and doesn’t send the information to the app, which creates a frustrating morning routine. On top of that you spend loads of time inside the app trying to find information that your scale took. The thing is a time waster. You’d be better off just going and getting a DEXA scan.

Smart this and smart that, it seems everything is smart today including your scale! The Withings smart scale is definitely a product I’m glad I’ve finally experienced. Just jumping on a scale and seeing your weight is one thing, but being able to see how you’ve progressed is another. If your weight has fluctuated during a few days the scale will show you that in graph form after you initially weigh yourself. And this is just one of many measurements it will show you once you’ve set it up. And speaking of setup, it’s thankfully very simple and quick and that’s in large part due to the excellent Withings app. Once you download the app and turn the scale on the app walks you thru the whole process. The app works flawlessly with Apple health, so if you allow it, it will import your health data from the health app into the Withings app. This allows you to monitor all your health data and the measurements from the scale within the Withings app. The scale will measure bmi,fat,lean mass & water,visceral fat, your heart rate and will even give you the weather and air quality index! You can store up to 8 users profiles on the scale and it even has an “eyes closed mode”, instead of numbers it gives you inspirational messages! The Withings body smart is an example of when “smart” is done right (product and app functionality work flawlessly together), it really can make day to day life better.

Good scale unless you accidentally bump it or drop it and then it shatters. And not even a heavy bump. It was a tap and the whole face shattered. For $100 I expected better. There are cheaper more sturdy models that do the same thing.

I'm upgrading from a more basic 'smart scale' that syncs via Bluetooth. I didn't realize how much more convenient this scale is. I opted for the white scale as it blends better with the light gray tiles in the bathroom I'm using it on. It's all great looking white glass with the metal accent center, except for the black LCD screen. It looks nice. It's powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries that according to the manufacturer should last over a year. Batteries are included. The scale supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (2.4 Ghz only). Initial pairing was very simple and without issues: Install the Withings app on the phone. Then remove the battery tab from the scale and upon registering it works. It uses Bluetooth for initial setup and the guided installation was clear and did not have any issues with it. Worked on the first try. For reference, we use iPhones. Withings is a French company with a long history of producing health products, so it gives me more confidence that my account information will be handled properly. The scale measures weight at 0.1 lb. precision. It also measures body composition data as muscle mass, fat mass and bone mass, which also breaks down as visceral fat index, lean mass and water mass. It also measures hear rate. Standing on the scale takes a few seconds. It first measures weight, and with that it correlates to who is using it. Then it displays in sequence all the other measurements ending with heart rate. If connected over WiFi, it finishes up by displaying weather and air quality based on internet data. The screen is full color and very easy to read. This is an improvement from older models that have a simpler LED screen. No phone is needed while using the scale. When connected over Wi-Fi, it will sync to the Withings account directly. If WiFi is not available, it does use Bluetooth to connect directly to a phone. It integrates with several other health apps. I'm using it with Apple Health, which is done via the phone and the Withings app. I also use Fitbit and for that I had to search how, but it's simple, via fitbit.com/weight/withings . It can also connect to IFTTT and several other integrations. It seems that this company is ahead when it comes to integrations. My older Bluetooth scale did a poor job of supporting multiple users. This is the best I've seen yet: For adults, it gives the option of either add multiple people to the same Withings account, or each person have their own personal account, which are private from each other: Once the first user adds the scale to their account, they can invite other adults to share the scale. For kids under 16, or for sharing the account, one can add up to 8 users per scale. The scale detects different users by weight. Our kids are close in weight so this is not perfect. If it gets the wrong user, there are two choices: Either get off the scale, in which the measurement will go to a special section on the app that allows to assign it to the right user, or one can quickly step on one foot on the scale to select the correct user. The more the scale is used, this should work better. It's not perfect but it's better than other solutions. Subscription: Of course Withings offers different health coach subscription plans that works better if one has more than just the scale, but there is no requirement to actually pay for a subscription to get the raw data from the scale. They're not pushy so far on the app. Overall it's a fantastic scale. Withings is a very reputable French company with a good track record. At some point they used to be part of Nokia but they've been independent again for some years now. The Wi-Fi + Bluetooth system makes a great difference and the multi-user setup actually works. Screen is very nice and it's superior to other scales. Withings has other models of scales that cost two or three times more that provide more advanced data although this is model is the sweet spot for us.

This scale is so much more than a scale. Sure it measures weight, but does so much more. Thin in size it is designed to be placed on a hard surface out of the box. Want to put it on a carpet? Add the enclosed feet for that application. That is odd. To me there should be feet for the hard surface as well. Instead the unit sits on its 'tube' feet. Wifi enabled this scale works hand and hand with the Whitings app to offer you more than scale options. Setup to my wifi went smoothly. The wifi connects the data from the scale to the app to track data. You can have more than one user which is a good feature. My wife and I both set accounts. You do have to get to bare feet to weigh yourself and record the other features. The scale face is glass.This scale records bmi, muscle mass, water content, body mass, heart rate, body water and more. I cannot speak to the accuracy of these types of readings as there is no real way to calibrate, short of comparing at your Doctor's office. Yet, I find great value in a product of this type because it, at the very least, gives you some data to examine and track. Awareness will make your health better if for nothing else it informs you of your health.What makes this a 4 star review versus a 5 star is that the app is a bit balky. It is full of content. Somewhat confusing and really could use a streamline. I find it not entirely user friendly. I am still trying to work through some features and understand how to access via the app. I think Withings has a good product here. Fix the app in future updates and it could be great.

This Withings Body Smart Scale in white is a loaded smart scale that tells you everything you want to know about your weight, body fat, water weight, heart rate, BMI, and more. There is an application that you use with it that can be downloaded for free from the app store on your device. It’s called Withings. With this app, you can track your progress, and other users too. The app is great and you can pair the scale with the app via WIFI or Bluetooth. I had an easier time pairing it with Bluetooth than I did WIFI, but it works with both and I used both to test the scale. The scale, unlike most others, can be used on carpet too. When you use it on carpet, there are 4 feet that you attach to the bottom of the scale. They are included in the box with the scale. The app is just as impressive as the scale. There are certain features that work with WIFI only and certain features that work only in Athlete Mode. The different modes are: Athlete Mode, Weigh Only Mode and Eyes Closed Mode. The eyes closed mode, the weight only displays in the app and not on the scale. This is a really great scale, and I like the features it has. The only issue I had was keeping it on WIFI, so I switched to Bluetooth, otherwise everything about it, including the app, is fantastic. I will note that it goes up to 440 pounds and has a baby mode too that weighs babies at least 7 pounds to 30 pounds. Great scale.

I got this for my fiancée and myself since the one he gotten last time, years and years ago finally died (it was an older body cardio model). With our old model it was always clunky in one way or another, or was slow, or had bad readings. I dont know how they upgraded this one, but it is so much better, you may be losing the rechargeable aspect from other models, but the battery life is super long, this thing is fast, snappy, accurate, and a whole lot more user friendly then a body cardio! I got mine while it was on sale too, so it can be a lot cheaper as well, would completely recommend.

For the price, this is a great scale and with unique tracking metrics. While the scale is similar to other smart scales from the last ten years, the main draw is in the connections formed within the Withings app and it’s interplay with Apple's Health app on iOS (and presumably it’s equivalent on Android). The app tracks all of your progress within the app with easy to read graphs while introducing goals for tracking your health and weight. I found these to be pleasant, with the fallback knowledge that these are also helping other apps within the connections being tracked by Health. The scale itself is nicely built, with a color screen that’s a step up from my older smart scale. Every time you step on it displays not only your weight, but also fat and muscle composition, heart rate, air quality and weather for the day. This is customizable, but I found the slideshow format to be fast enough in its defaults to be useful. The scale is quite grippy on tile floors and comes with footings for placement on thick carpets as well. I’m almost 40, so I’ve been looking to better maintaining my health to specifically avoid the ailments that I’ve seen others in my family endure as they aged. I only learned recently that my family is prone to diabetes, so all facets of health are useful for me as I aim to avoid it entirely. Weight also causes a lot of stress on joints, bones and the body in general, so getting it right is an important goal now. I have a smart watch and have been tracking exercise for a while but I also track my diet within another app, and now even more with this Body Smart scale. I’m getting new insights into my body composition which is really cool. While I lose weight, I get to see how that also affects my water weight, fat around organs, and overall muscle mass. These were not things I could really get insight into before, so it’s yet another motivation as I reach my goals. Speaking of goals, the Withings app also provides this goal tracking within its app. Set a goal and it will predict how fast you may reach it, based on its exercise, step, etc. readings and insights imported from the OS (opt in.) So far this is nice to see and I’m excited to be able to have a keen eye on my muscle vs fat ratios while I’m also building muscle in my workouts. If you’d rather track your data without seeing your weight every day, you can choose to hide that from view with the ‘Eyes-Closed’ option. Setup is mostly straightforward, but mine got very confused in multiple ways during first use. Signing in ‘with Apple’ may have been the issue… I had constant OS requests for my login, along with miscalculations on my weight in KGs but labeled as lbs and the scale refusing to recognize me or record my data as a result. Correcting this was very frustrating, but once I recreated my account, cleared out all of it’s connections to the Health app and gave it some time, it finally started to recognize me on the scale and began to work as expected. Setup aside, I still have one issue possibly specific to tall people like me. I’m 6’ 8,” which is a height where BMI tends not to be accurate at all. The app acknowledges the issues with BMI in its description but doesn’t adjust my goals despite this. When I log in, the app shows my weight status as ‘Obese,’ and my healthy goal weight under the ‘Overweight’ range. These are false, as most of my weight comes from being so tall, but it’s a bit of a shame that it’s not counter-adjusted for within the app. Despite these two issues, the scale and app are well thought out, providing insights and information in context, alongside goals and tracking. The scale itself is quite nice and at $100 it’s a nice package.

I was looking for advanced body composition smart scale and got Withings – Body smart advanced body composition smart wi-fi scale. It came with excellent packing and inside the box it came with 4 x AAA battery, Carpet feet, Body Smart Advanced Body Composition Smart Wi-Fi Scale, Product Guide and Quick Start Guide. After unboxing, I have attached the Carpet feet on the scale. Once it is done, downloaded and installed the Withings health mate app from the app store. After the email registration in the app, the instructions were very easy to follow to configure the profile with height, weight etc. It integrated with apple health app in iphone and imported all previous information from the health app. It is easy to define the goal and it tracks the information day by day in terms of weight, body composition, heart rate, daily steps, average heart rate. This scale is pretty large and glossy look. The display is LCD and letters are easy to read during measurements. This scale monitors full body composition: weight, BMI, total body fat, water percentage, muscle and bone mass, Visceral Fat Index estimates the amount of fat stored around organs in abdomen, Basal Metabolic Rate how many calories body burns at rest, and heart rate at every weigh-in. Withings uses position control technology, a unique body position detector to get accurate measurements. It can track up to 8 users independently. I have invited my family numbers and they were able to track their health information. It is easy to see family members information from the drop down. It is compatible with Apple Health, Google Health, MyFitnessPal, Lose It!, Weight Watchers, train for a race with Runkeeper, Runtastic and MapMyRun. The measurements are very accurate and instant. It is great to see heartbeat, weight, body composition in one place and it shows air quality and weather as well. It is a great smart scale and highly recommend using it to track health related information.

I’ve used a digital scale for a few months now to track my fitness gains and losses. About 6 months ago I was up on weight and began tracking my food intake and workout volume. Having multiple tracking devices became a pain and when I got the opportunity to try out the Withings Body and Body Composition Smart Wi-Fi Scale, I couldn’t pass it up. Set up was a breeze with this scale. I downloaded the app paired it to my phone and let them do all the work. It came preloaded with batteries, all that was need was to remove the piece of plastic from the battery compartment. Then I installed the provided feet to the bottom of the scale set I on the floor and stepped on the scale and let it do all of the calculating and measuring. This thing offers tons of great features. I really like this scale, upon stepping on the scale it quickly shows your weight. Once your weight is measured then it shows how your weight is trending either up or down. After that it displays your fat percent, muscle percent, visceral fat and your heart rate. What makes this unit stand out is that it will send all of the data to your mobile device. I’m able to analyze this data and know if the changes to my diet and workout its helping or hurting. Also, to note it give air quality. All things said, I am totally enjoying my new Withing scale. I have lost over 20lbs and I’m feeling healthier than I have in a long time. I 100% recommend this scale. It has really motivated me to be healthier. It’s great getting all that information right off the scale and then having it stored in my mobile device to track my progress. Don’t hesitate to pick the Withings scale up for your personal use.
