The BPM Vision Blood Pressure monitor is a high quality device, easy to setup and use, as well as precise and app friendly. From the moment I opened the box I could tell how careful the makers were with both the packaging and the design of the device, which says a lot about the manufacturer. The design is simple. I like the white color they used because it makes it look very professional and reliable. The storage case is elegant and sturdy. The setup process is easy, and the device and the app are very user friendly. Basically what comes in the box is: The Blood Pressure Monitor Storage Case USB-a to USB-c cable Get Started Guide Product Guide Manual The BPM comes with enough charge to power on and start using it right away. The Quick Guide has the QR code that will guide you through a step by step process to install the app, create an account, pair your phone with the unit vi BT, and connect to wifi. During the setup process it will ask you for your height, weight, DOB, name, email, and it will also offer the option to integrate it with another app/tool called “Health Scan” which I skipped as well as the multi-factor authentication steps. The setup process won’t take more than 6 minutes. If you have never used a BPM monitor before, the step by step process will guide you on how to do it through the app. My phone is an android, and the “Withings” app was available in my play store. I didn’t have any connectivity issues with the BP pairing or wifi setting for firmware updates. I can only say good things about the Withings BPM vision. The operation is very intuitive. I found it very clever that the design is a separate cuff/monitor connected by a tube. The cuff is standard size, which is 8.7in-16.5in, but there is an optional XL cuff for bigger sizes. It doesn’t come with a “Power cable”, you will have to get a Power adapter for the included USB-c cable adapter to charge the device. I think that is the way to go nowadays on all these devices since it’s more practical to carry one Power adapter to charge the USB-c devices, like iPads and iPhones since it is a standard rather than having different ones for each device. The operation is pleasantly quiet, compared to other units I have had over the years. Sometimes it was stressful to hear to pump and the feel of the cuff inflating on my arm, and because of that I was always getting inaccurate readings a little higher so I had to repeat the process several times to make sure I was getting an accurate measure. The good thing is that you have the option to use the unit for Blood Pressure readings without the app, so it is not app dependable like other devices. The app can integrate with other health application tools and it has the option to generate reports to share your data with you heath care provider or family/friend via a web link, which is a nice feature. My brother in law is a doctor and I can easily send my BP info to him via this tool. The link will be active for seven days and it also allows you to select what you want to share including activity, body, nutrition, heart, etc. The link that contains your personal medical information can be set by you to expire in the time frame you wish. The link can last as long as you want it to. It can last 24 hours, one week, or even a month before it’s automatically deactivated and the link can also be sent via email. To access advance features with the Withings app, like data analysis and recommendations, it will require a subscription. I think the size and weight of the unit is appropriate, it feels portable and it’s very good looking. The 2.8” high-resolution LCD screen is beautiful, very clear to read and with soft colors. It only has 4 Buttons, Power on the right, and 3 Buttons for the screen option which is navigate and selections. It shows your name and you can select to store your data in your profile in the app, or you can select the “guest” option. The measurement process, is quick, not painful or uncomfortable. At the end, the screen will show by colors the range of risk of your reading. The unit can take either one measurement or what it is called “TripleTrust”. On the LCD screen it will show as “Blood Pressure x3” which reads your blood pressure three times to get the most accurate readings. The readings are very accurate. I tested several times using the “Triple Trust” measure and always got the result of the first reading, so I am confident that the first reading is always reliable. I was curious about the two metal contacts on the top of the unit on the left and right side. After some research I found out that those are a design for a future ECG lead feature. So “if” they release that feature in the future via firmware update it would be great. The Withings BPM Vision is a wonderful BP measure. I really feel I can trust my BP monitoring with this device with confidence. It’s easy to use and it’s useful for recording historical health data and sharing options. It is a well thought out design with future upgrade options.

The Withings BPM Vision is an great device for checking your blood pressure and keeping a record of your results. It comes with a very nice travel and storage case that makes it easy to keep all of the components together and store it when not in use. I love how it syncs with the Withings app so you can easily view and keep a record of your blood pressure readings right on your phone. And, if you want to share your readings with a doctor or other trusted individual, you can easily share a health report from the app that shows your readings over a specified period of time. This is an excellent piece of hardware. It feels like a really well-built device that gets accurate and high quality readings, just as you would get with any traditional blood pressure monitor. I love how this unit not only gives you your blood pressure readings, but it also shows you a scale indicating if the readings are good or not (green, yellow, or red). I also love that this device has a USB C port which makes charging easy and convenient. My only complaint with this device is related to the instructions on how to use it for the first time. This was my first blood pressure monitor and I was not very familiar with how to use the cuff. The instructions were very poor in explaining how to unravel the cuff and put it on your arm. After some trial and error, I realized you have to slide open the cuff where the metal piece is and put your arm through the opening. This was not clear, and the directions both in the app and in videos posted by Withings did not provide clear instructions on how to use the cuff properly. Just a very basic video showing how to open up the cuff and put it on your arm would have made using this device much easier. Now that I understand how to use the cuff properly, it is very easy to use and put on my arm. Hopefully Withings will create an instruction video in the future that clearly shows how to put the cuff on your arm for those that may not know how. Overall, this is an excellent piece of equipment that I highly recommend. For anyone looking for a good quality blood pressure monitor that also connects to an app and allows for easy recording and monitoring of blood pressure readings, this is a great option.

With a history of high blood pressure in my family and weight issues in my past, I've tried out a few BP monitoring devices over the years. They worked - mostly - but were always difficult to set up and didn't keep a history so I ended up not using them regularly. But the WIthings BPM Vision makes it so easy I think I've finally found a device I can stick with long term. It's quiet, comfortable and has easy to follow step by step instructions right on the device's screen, which is bright and easy to read. Combined with the software, I can get a reading in minutes and track my BP over time, which is really important. Pairing the device with the software was foolproof and worked the first attempt. I also like that Withings has a pretty complete API so I can use that data in other programs like my HomeAssistant smart home management program. This not only gives me the ability to gather history but also display the data in graphs and tables. If I had to find any fault, it would be their odd security methods. You can set up a username and password for your Withings account, but every time you open the app to log in, it sends a code to your chosen email account and it does this even if you choose to login with a username/password combo. So you end up logging in fine, but you have to go and delete the emailed code that you didn't choose in the first place. I understand that they are doing this to offer you more security, but I feel that if I choose not to use it, it shouldn't clutter up my email with code sends. Fortunately this only happens if you log out of the program or don't use it for a long time, so it's a small annoyance to be sure. It's just confuses me why they made that choice in the first place. Other than that, if you need to keep track of your BP or just want to keep a handle on your health metrics, it would be difficult to find a better choice than Withings BPM Vision.

First impression was the main unit is sleek and modern looking and comes in a nice travel case. It came almost fully charged so turn it on to start the setup and connection to the Withings app which I already have due to owning a scale and the older BPM Connect. Setup and connection to WiFi and the pp went smoothly with no issues. Since I already had and account user names were already on the screen after the setup was complete. Adjusting the cuff for the first reading I found the Velcro to have a good grip and the standard cuff it shipped with was a good fit for my arm. Starting the reading the first thing I noticed was the BPM Vision is much quieter than the BPM connect while inflating the cuff. The display on the main unit is easy to read with good sized numbers for BP and HR and has a nice colored bar indicting where your results land. The results instantly showed up in the Withings app and also synced right to the Apple Health app putting all necessary health info in one easy to access app Overall we’re impressed with the BPM Vision and wil be using it on a regular basis both at home and when traveling.

I don’t currently suffer from high blood pressure, thank God, but I am diabetic. Unfortunately, high blood pressure can develop in the future for those with diabetes, so having the Withings blood pressure monitor is essential for my everyday wellness journey. Upon opening the box, I appreciated the well built design of the monitor. It comes in a hard shell case that offers excellent protection from falls. The large cuff fits me just right, charging cable but no wall adapter. The monitor is very quiet when inflating. It’s also super lightweight and compact. The accompanying app is a must have, it’s loaded with valuable information and helps track all your blood pressure readings. You can even share your blood pressure reports with your doctor easy as 1,2,3. The app also provides guidance on how to take your blood pressure correctly and what to avoid to prevent false readings. Additionally, you can add up to eight users, allowing everyone in the family to keep track of their readings, and detect on time possible high bp levels. This is such a great monitor that gives me quick results without any issues.

This is a very accurate blood pressure monitor. Compared this with my Japanese brand one I've been using for a while and the results are comparable. Nothing wrong with my old unit but this is a lot easier to use. We already had one of the Withings smart scale and we're very happy with it. Withings is a well known French company that focuses on personal health monitoring products. Each product can connect to one or more Withings accounts within the household, and also lets you have multiple users on the same account if this makes things simpler. It requires no subscriptions or any other fees besides the purchased products, and it's able to correlate data from different Withings products to offer an unified view of body metrics. We use iPhones so it also integrates seamlessly (If chosen) with Apple Health, which we like as it further correlates data from our watches. It also has optional connections with different health systems, although the selections are currently limited, but it's promising in the direction they're headed. They also do offer a monthly or yearly subscription that uses additional intelligence (AI, etc) to analyze data from different Withings products, and offers several consultations with actual doctors on the given data. I don't use the subscription however it's interesting. So to the blood pressure monitor itself, it's very easy to set up. We had no issues setting it up with our existing Withings account. The monitor uses Bluetooth and then it connects with the house's Wi-Fi. (Falls back to Bluetooth if Wi-Fi is not available). This is very nice because I don't need to have my phone near me when checking my blood pressure. It syncs directly to the Withings account and once I open the app on the phone, wherever I am, I can see the results. The monitor has a nice color screen that's very easy to read (with big letters) and very to follow prompts. At the right of the screen there are three navigation buttons. Because we set up two users, when turning it on it prompts which user is going to use it, and also has a guest mode. After taking the measurements, it presents the low and high values (systolic and diastolic), heart rate, and on the bottom of the screen, a sliding chart with different colors (green, yellow, orange, light and dark red), which coincides with the American Heart Association's scale, so don't have to think about the numbers. The monitor has a built-in Lithium battery and it's expected to last several months (expected to last close to a year between charges). It charges via USB-C just like a laptop or phone. It comes with a charging cable, but like other electronics, no wall charger. I use any of the chargers I already have. The cuff is an interesting design. I actually didn't use it right the first time because I though I had to wrap it around the arm like other monitors. The way it works is that it's a sleeve: Slide my arm though it and then tighten it with a Velcro. This actually makes it easier to put on with one free hand. It provides for a wide range of arm sizes, so all in the family can fit it. Withings also offers an extra large cuff that's sold separately. The cuff is very easy to unplug from the monitor, if needed, and the connecting tube is large enough. The whole setup comes in a nice hard fabric case and don't need to take the monitor out of the case unless I want to. The cuff folds neatly in its own section of the case. Note that there are two metal circles on the sides of the monitor, but they're not documented and don't currently do anything. If there is a complain is that the screen could be a bit brighter, however this has not been an issue to me. Overall, great blood pressure monitor. This is the easiest to use yet, and I appreciate how easy is to sync the measurements, which is automatic.

The result is that regular things we used to enjoy now cause labored breathing and joint discomfort. We didn’t use to check vitals like weight or blood pressure—because we didn’t need to. Then, not too long ago, I changed jobs and opted into my employer’s voluntary health screening, which offers premium discounts for participation. That’s when I realized that months of stress and poor habits—compounding over time through small infractions—had been impacting our health in ways that weren’t obvious in the mirror. At the screening, the nurse had to reset the blood pressure monitor three times—she couldn’t believe the readings were accurate. To be fair, I was short of breath, sweating, and stressed because despite arriving early, I couldn’t find a single parking spot within two blocks of the clinic. Embarrassed, I told her I hadn’t realized things had gotten that bad. I knew I had gained weight, but I hadn’t acknowledged what came with that. When I got home from the screening, I took a long look in the mirror. The person looking back wasn’t someone I recognized, even though I had been seeing him every day for months. The price point is on the high side for a blood pressure monitoring (BPM) tool, but I think it is reasonable given the competition. Let me tell you why: Pros: * FIRST AND FOREMOST: The Withings BPM Vision is an FDA-approved clinically precise BPM device. * Operation. This unit is quiet! You literally can't hear the pumps used to increase pressure in the arm band. * Easy to use. The unit takes just a few minutes to setup and use. * App + Apple. The app can integrate with Apple's Health platform. This means you can get a holistic view of your activities and health in one spot. Or you can just take readings. I prefer the integration because I have a number of other devices that feed into Health. One single pane is what I prefer. The app itself requires a subscription to take advantage of advanced features that help analyze and offer recommendations/ paths to achieve better health. * Connectivity options: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Gives you options for syncing your health data. Though not strictly required. * Built-in screen. The screen and its controls are pretty basic and not as sharp as competing solutions, but it makes up for that with a robust app and integration. * USB-C. This unit, though not exactly small, is portable - and rechargeable. Going to a Poker game? Bring this along to measure the table's BPMs. * Guided use via app, online help, and even the arm-band. * Carrying case. The included carrying case protects the BPM, the band, and the tube while in transport. It's a rigid case and works quite nicely. Cons: * The unit is portable, but it is not as small or as compact as some competing solutions. * The unit isn't going to win any awards for being sleek. But that's ok. * Subscription to unlock advanced analytics/features isn't cheap.

The family has been using the BPM Vision for a few days now, and having had a few of these devices over the years, the Withings has already proven to us that it is a superior unit to anything we've used in the past. The look, packaging, and performance is first rate, and the construction is solid. Initial setup was as easy as could be. The unit arrived with about a half charge, using the provided USB-C cable it was brought up to full in about 20 minutes. Next was installation of the app, and again, the process was straightforward, simple, and trouble free. Testing the device out, the feel and appearance of the cuff was akin to what you would encounter in the MD office, durable, professional and for all indication, built to last. But what was most impressive was the sound of the air pump - quiet as a mouse. Much appreciated, when any other machine I've tried sounds like I'm pumping up a tire in the house! Just one more indication of the quality built into the Vision. I love the display pad - Messages are clear, crisp, nice font, and cleanly visible whether in bright light or a darkened room. The app itself contains history functions for multiple users to easily track readings over time. We recently purchased a finger pad EKG unit, curiously, the top of the Vision has two chromed finger presses, similar to what you would find on an arrhythmia device. Was wondering if these were there for a future upgrade, that would be a bonus to package the two devices into one product. As the wife had been on blood pressure medication for some time, and I was recently advised during a medical visit to acquire a device & track my pressure over time, the Vision is a welcome addition to our home, and would recommend anyone currently in the market to take a look at the Withings.

Having worked in healthcare and have had two sets of aging patents (mine and my wife’s), I have had numerous interactions with home blood pressure monitors over the years, including another Withings product. The Withings BPM Vision, while I would not call it a “travel-sized” product, is similar to many other home-use products in overall size and format, meaning it has a separate cuff and pump/control unit connected by tubing. While another Withings blood pressure monitor, the BPM Connect is an all-in-one unit that lends itself rather well to travel with its compact size, the BPM Vision does arrive in a very nice hard-sided travel case which does allow one to transport it in style and security if need be. Being familiar with both products, my preference is for the Vision over the Connect because of the easier to use form factor and less cumbersome user interface with an easier to navigate menu that uses a total of four buttons rather than having all interactions go through a single button. Older folks will probably find the Vision a more satisfying device to use. First impressions upon opening the packaging is that the simplistic design echos the sleekness of products from a company whose product names usually start with an “i”. The central full-color display is of a sufficient size to display the needed information with an easy-to-read font and a clear interactive menu. Materials chosen for the construction of the device appear durable and impart a high-quality look and feel that are characteristic of the price point of the BPM Vision. While the Vision is a modern take on a home medical device that has been around for decades, I did find it slightly odd that the included charging cord has a USB-C connector on the end that plugs into the Vision, and I would have expected the same connector on the other end rather than the slowly disappearing USB-A. Maybe that is an intentional nod to the age group this device is intended for, I don’t know. While I’m old enough to qualify for the senior discount at any restaurant that offers one, the USB-A can’t disappear from my life quick enough to satisfy me. While I am on the topic of power for the Vision, the Product Guide mentions to “Use only power supply units compliant with IEC 60601-1 or IEC 62368-1 and authorized by the relevant NCBs for safe operation.” The BPM Vision does not come with its own power adapter, only a charging cable. I rounded up all of the power blocks in the house and none of them (from a few different brands) mention either IEC standard in the very small and hard-to-read print on the adapter themselves. I started looking at the paper documentation that came with the devices and websites of the manufacturers and could find only one mention of an IEC standard, and that was for an Apple charging adapter. I also couldn’t figure out what the acronym “NCB” stands for. I decided to throw caution to the wind on the premise that if this was really important, Withings would have included a proper power adapter that was compliant with the stated standards. On the positive side, the manual does state that a single charge should last about one year or 1000 cycles of use. Note also that the device cannot be used while it is charging. And while I’m talking about cycles of use, Withings states that the minimum service life of the unit is three years or 30,000 measurements, but it can be expected to last for a much longer period than the minimum service life. It is also stated that the minimum service life of the cuff is 10,000 measurements. The Vision comes with a two year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The Product Guide is well written with detailed instructions for first time users of a home blood pressure monitor. The guide is filled with all sorts of notices, precautions, cautions, and warnings which shouldn’t be off putting, but I assume are there mostly for regulatory reasons. The BPM Vision is a rather simple machine to use and anyone familiar with blood pressure monitors should have no issues whatsoever with this product. In use, the pump in the vision is very quiet during operation. I felt the device inflated the cuff only to the point necessary to obtain a reading. I have had other blood pressure monitors which would inflate to a level that was almost uncomfortable and to a point that seemed to be excessively past what was actually needed to obtain a reading. The guide was also very thorough in providing information that was easy to read regarding the topics of care for the device, troubleshooting, cleaning, and general use. Having been a user of other Withings products in the past, I already had the Withings app installed on my iPhone, and had created an account. Adding this new device to my account was easy and seamless. It should be noted that the Vision will not allow you to use the device without first linking it to the Withings app. This means that you cannot access past readings on the device itself, as that information is only accessible through the app on your smartphone, or through your account via Withings website on your computer. You however can see immediate results on the Vision without use of the app or your phone. This means that the BPM Vision might not be the best choice for the elderly that have limited expertise with modern technology. The Withings website has an extensive support section that is helpful for just about any question you can think of. The app both on the phone and on the computer works well and presents the data in your account in an easy to understand presentation. The app will keep track of data for up to eight users and is able to transmit a multitude of information to healthcare professionals if their system is designed to allow this functionality in tracking their patient’s health between office visits. The Withings BPM Vision is feature-packed through the use of the Withings app and that is more a function of the app itself. The Vision device on its own is a basic blood pressure and heart rate monitor designed for home use and a very good one at that. There is an interesting design feature of the unit’s case and that is there are two round metal pads at opposite ends of the main body of the monitor. There is no mention of them in the USA-market product guide however. I’m suspicious that they are sensors used to monitor heart rhythm/EKG (ECG) function and are used in other markets of the world or are intended for a future upgrade on devices in this country once approved. This type of monitoring is already available on other Withings products. But this is only speculation on my part.

Withings BPM Smart Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a portable and easy to use approach to track your FDA cleared grade blood pressure systolic, diastolic and heartrate measurements. It is very convenient as a user can do this wherever and whenever. As packaged: • Withings BPM Smart Arm Blood Pressure Monitor (with travel case) • USB Type-C to USB Type-A charging cable • Product Guide • Quick Start Guide Prior to using Whitings BPM Vision, I had never paid particular attention to blood pressure measurement details. I had always left it to the professionals and only focused on the “all clear” or not, which rarely occurred by the way. The ease of operation, coupled with the clear reporting ranked as the best features of the BPM Vision in my experience. The 2.8-inch high-resolution color display is very easy to read. The device also has only four physical buttons: three menu navigation buttons and a power button. Behind the device is the USB Type-C port for charging. There is no included USB Type-A adapter. Setup is guided and easy. The Whitings app (available from Google Play or Apple App Store) sets things in motion. Upon download and once profile has been completed, the user is asked to select the device they intend to register and provide the appropriate Bluetooth and location permissions. My experience was via Android and the BPM Vision was easily located and connected via Bluetooth. The final connection required is access to Wi-Fi. Once completed, the app delivers an overview of the four previously mentioned buttons along with the blood pressure measurements the BPM Vision provides. Via a color-coded chart, the user can quickly visually decipher what category they fall into. There are options to take only a single measurement or three with optional intervals of 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds. The BPM Vision can store seven additional profiles including children. Instructions state measurements are to be taken off the left arm. The cuff inflation is comfortable and a familiar experience just like medical grade equivalents. Should the included large cuff be too tight, an optional XL size can be ordered from Whitings. Another great feature of the BPM Vision is its ability to generate reports for sharing. This formalizes the blood pressure measurements for presentation compared to sharing only screen captures from the app in my opinion. There are options to share as a PDF or via link with a 7-day expiration. The Whitings app is also able to exchange data with a host of partner apps. I have had a good experience with Samsung Health so far. All the blood pressure measurements can be viewed on the Samsung Health app albeit without the Whitings color categorization. Per Whitings, the BPM Vision has an expected service life of three years or 30,000 measurements. With the included two-year warranty, I see this as a win on all levels. While the inbuilt rechargeable battery is slated to last a year or 1000 cycles, I was disappointed to discover the device cannot be used while charging. To their defense, I was able to charge from 60 percent to 100 percent in about 39 minutes. In my opinion, the Whitings BPM Vision is certainly worth the investment given its ease of use and FDA clearance. It makes tracking (and sharing) blood pressure measurements very easy, lessening the burden especially when a condition could be taking a toll on one’s health. I recommend.

The BPM Vision – Smart Arm Blood Pressure Monitor comes in a nice storage case and you can leave the main unit in the storage case while completing your BP, which is what I believe they suggest. Downloading the Withings app, which is compatible with iOS & Android, was simple, but I did have a few issues getting logged into the app, once in the app setting up my profile was easy. The unit has a nice large LCD screen that is very easy to read. Suggested use shows sitting in a chair, back against the back of the chair, placing the blood pressure sleeve on your left arm and your arm on a table, palm upward, and with the airline aligned with your main artery. These instructions are displayed in writing and pictures on the blood pressure sleeve also. Once set up the BPM Vision is simple to use and the information being sent to your phone is very cool. Don’t agree with the rating of the results displayed in the app as it logs that my 110/66 is normal, 128/75 is an elevated blood pressure and 137/80 is high blood pressure stage 1. My blood pressure, taken prior to exercising, is normally a little higher than it is after exercising as is my heart rate. Upon researching the web, there appears to be a slight discrepancy between medical agencies and what is high and low regarding blood pressure. However, Withing's states that their Color-coded results are based on the official US guidelines set by the ACC/AHA The Withing app has a multitude of abilities to record your BP, heart rate, body mass, etc. You can even have the results sent directly to your physician and log some of the results regarding your physician’s tests in the app. Back to the Withings – BPM Vision Smart Arm Blood Pressure Monitor. This is a simple machine to utilize for BP and Pulse. Display of BP and Pulse on the BPM Vision Smart Arm BP Monitor does not stay displayed for very long however you don’t have to worry because it will be logged into the app within seconds. It appears to be well made, add this and the Withings app and you have a lot of cool health records at your fingertip.

The Withings BPM Vision (Model WPM07), Wi-Fi Smart Blood Pressure Monitor is a convenient and user-friendly device for self-monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate. Of great importance and benefit is that the BPM Vision, like other Withings devices, automatically uploads measurements to the free Withings Health Mate app, (Android and Apple iOS) as well as being accessible with a web browser on your Withings Health Mate Dashboard. Bluetooth is used for the very simple initial setup, which takes only a few minutes. Thereafter Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is utilized for data transfer. The BPM Vision stores up to 8 sets of BP measurements between synchronizations. The automatic transfer of BP data to the Withings servers and the Health Mate app occurs immediately. BP readings are displayed on the 2.8” color LCD display, as well as immediately and automatically synchronized with the app. The electronic/electromechanical module of the BPM Vision is compact and lightweight, and is a traditional style unit which is connected to the blood pressure cuff by an air/inflation hose. The compact size makes this device well-suited for travel, as well as home use. It is not as compact as the BPM Connect which has the small electronics module attached to the BP cuff. Both the electronics module and cuff are stored in the included hard sided, zippered case which measures 9”x7.5”x 2.8”. On occasion I found that the inflation hose had partially/mostly detached from the unit. The hose fitting is only retained on the unit by friction. There are no barbs molded into the connector to improve retention. In addition to taking single BP measurements, the BPx3 mode takes three (3) sequential measurements (at user selectable 30, 60, 90 or 120 second intervals). The factory installed firmware (Version 61) on the BPM Vision did not average the three measurements, as the BPM Connect does. BP Averaging has recently been implemented on BPM Vision with new firmware (Version 121). The manner in which BPx3 operates on the BPM Vision is not consistent with the way it functions on the BPM Connect. The Connect uploads the BPx3 measurement to the Health Mate app as a single value representing the averaged measurements, and annotates the record with “Measurement – 3x”. The Vision however, uploads the BPx3 measurements as three separate measurements; the averaged value is only displayed on the LCD screen, not in the app. Blood Pressure Averaging correlates well with Daytime Mean BP obtained during 24 hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Measurement (ABPM), which is the Gold Standard for blood pressure measurement. The Health Mate app displays BP averages for the pre-defined intervals of Week, Month or Year, and sharable PDF Health Reports provide averaging of multiple data metrics for the past month, quarter or a user defined period of time. The Health Mate app is a robust health tracking app which can integrate data from certain other fitness and health related devices as well as the BPM. It provides a dashboard for up to eight users per account, and analytic capabilities including graphic display of aggregated data over time. Users can share data with a physician (or others) via the app. Collected data is also available on the web browser version of Health Mate. All personal health data is downloadable on demand from the website as a zip file containing numerous csv files. Individual data records may be appended with user comments. Summary PDF “Health Reports” can also be shared from the Health Mate app and an external link to data may also be shared via HealthLink. Withings claims battery performance of up to 12 months (or 1,000 use cycles) on a single charge. The 3.7v, 2,500 mAh li-polymer battery is charged with the included USB-C charging cable and may be charged with a 5v-1A AC power adaptor, which is not included. Data security and privacy for personal identifying information as well as medical records are addressed by a Privacy Policy Statement. Data is reportedly stored on European based servers, specifically in France. It is important that home BP measurement devices are validated for clinical accuracy. The AMA supported data source is the US Blood Pressure Validated Device Listing. BP measurement devices are selected to appear on the VDL through an independent review process. The VDL process involves device manufacturers submitting documentation of meeting the criteria of active FDA 510(k) pre-market clearance and documentation of validation testing for clinical accuracy per one of the internationally accepted protocols. Withings statement regarding device accuracy reads, “The results are within the margin of acceptance defined by the internationally recognized evaluation standard for blood pressure monitors, ISO 81060-2:2018 + A1:2020, aligned with validation protocols recognized by organizations such as the European Society of Hypertension, the British Hypertension Society, and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation/American Heart Association”. The Withings BPM Connect/Pro (WPM05/WPM06) appear in both the US VDL and the European STRIDE BP databases. As of this date, the BPM Vision (WPM07-08), being a new device, does not yet appear in either database. The accepted threshold for device accuracy is +/- 5mm Hg, or less, as established by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation guidelines (AAMI). The Withings BPM Vision claims accuracy of +/-3mm Hg (or 2% of reading). Withings is based in France, where the product is designed. Manufacturing is in China. The vinyl cuff is intended to fit arms ranging from 8.75” to 16.5” (22-42 cm), which accommodates a large segment of the adult population. For arm circumferences exceeding the standard cuff capacity, there is an optional XL size cuff which fits arms ranging from 15.75” to 20.5” (40 to 52 cm). There are indexing marks on the BP cuff which provide reference as to the cuff size being suitable for the users’ arm circumference. The instructions direct the user to use the BPM on their left arm. The printed user manual states, “BPM Vision has been clinically validated on the left arm. However, you can still measure your blood pressure by applying the cuff on your right arm, if your left arm cannot bear it.” There are often deviations between left and right arm blood pressure measurements, and medical practitioners will frequently take multiple measurements on both arms for diagnostic purposes (particularly during an initial consultation. The arm which produces the higher BP readings is typically used thereafter. Some patients, such as those with lymphedema in the left arm, an injury to that limb or a PICC line in the left arm may only use their right arm for blood pressure monitoring. The printed Instruction Manual states that the Product Life is estimated at Three (3) Years or 30,000 measurements for the main unit and 10,000 inflation cycles for the cuff. The estimated product life of the Withings BPM Connect was also specified as three years, however I have been using my older, BPM Connect since 2019 and it is still performing well. The BPM Vision is warranted for two (2) years for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, but of course accuracy is not guaranteed. Familiarization with the BPM Vision requires just a few minutes. The Withings website and the printed User Manual which accompanies the product are replete with information, instructions, guidance and support information. There are numerous cautions which should be understood. Prior to taking measurements, it is necessary to install the smartphone app, create a Withings account, pair the BPM Vision with the smartphone via Bluetooth and connect it to your Wi-Fi network. The automated uploading of data from the BPM Vision to the cloud where it may be accessed with the Health Mate smartphone app or web browser interface is extremely convenient and beneficial. Users of other smart technology health related devices (i.e. scales, thermometers, etc.) will appreciate the very good data integration capabilities of the Health Mate app. I most certainly do! In addition to using the Withings BPM Connect since 2019, I have also used the Withings Scan Watch since 2020 and the Withings Body Comp scale since 2023. I appreciate having all data collected by each of those devices immediately synchronized, aggregated and available in the same data repository. The Withings Health Mate app, both on the smartphone and on the web browser presents stored data in both tabular form and graphic form. The manner of presentation shows trends which can potentially be more important than individual bits of granular data. Home blood pressure monitoring is an extremely important component of detecting or managing hypertension, and it is strongly recommended and supported by medical authorities like the AMA. However, it is critical that blood pressure measurement, both at home and in the clinical setting, be performed correctly, in order to be accurate and valid. . As a user of multiple Withings devices for the past several years, I believe that the new BPM Vision is an excellent device for self-monitoring blood pressure in the context of one’s normal lifestyle and daily activity, rather than only measuring blood pressure when present at a doctor’s office. Regularly monitoring important health data, including blood pressure, and being attentive to trends is valuable and beneficial for many reasons. Having all data available in one, comprehensive Health Mate app is of real benefit. The ability to easily share the data with a doctor is also a material bonus. Combining an excellent BP measurement device with an excellent app makes Withings my choice for home BP measurement!

The Withings BPM Vision Smart Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a very nice premium blood pressure monitor. The monitor itself is encased in a solid feeling plastic that feels tough and can withstand a little beating. One of the features that separates this blood pressure monitor from all the cheaper ones you can get at the drug store is the large color screen that walks you through the entire process to short and clear instructions supplemented with pictures and drawings that direct the user to know what to do. This OLED screen makes this device accessible to anyone who would be timid in using a blood pressure monitor. The ease of use and the visual walkthroughs make this monitor stand out from the rest. In addition, the monitor has built in fool proof measurements by taking three measurements and averaging them together to get accurate reading. It’s entirely possible with just one reading that you can have an erroneous reading. Averaging three measurements that are all in the same ballpark ensures accuracy. Comparing the measurements to drug store monitors, this Withings readings are spot on. The monitor comes in a very nice case that allows you to bring it with you everywhere. The one mistake that Withing had with the case was that it did not have a built-in handle. Ironically, the box that the monitor is sold with comes with a handle but not the carrying case. Another advantage of the monitor is how quiet the machine is. Every drug store monitor sound like a mini air compressor. Everyone knows you are taking a blood pressure measurement. The BPM Vision is as quiet as a fish tank pump. The movement of air is slight and barely noticeable. One peculiar item is the monitor comes with two metal disks on each side of the monitor. One can surmise that those metal disks are ECG sensors. Nowhere in any documentation in the box or online give any mention of what those metal disks are. Having experiences with smartwatches that have the ECG features built in but not enabled until a significant period later because they need FDA approval to advertise that feature, I believe that this may be added to the monitor down the road. That is why Withings wants you to pair the monitor to your phone and Wi-Fi and the app could update the firmware. I would have been nice for them to mention something about what those metal disks are. Another annoyance is the app features are behind a paywall. The monitor comes with basic synchronization of your blood pressure measurements to the cloud so you can accumulate a history of your blood pressure. Everything related to Blood Pressure is accessible through the app, which technically what you bought the device for as a blood pressure monitor. However, the app advertises a bunch of Health Improvement Score features but can only be unlocked if you subscribe. So be aware that if you are using the app, and you see features you may want to take advantage of, you might have to subscribe to Withings+. All in all, as a blood pressure monitor, this is one of the most premium devices out in the market. If you value the sleekness and quietness of the device, this is it. It is a step up from your generic drug store monitor and it contains a lot of quality-of-life improvements. Hopefully ECG can be added later on.

I've had mildly high blood pressure for about 6 years now (probably longer, let's be real...but this is from actual diagnosis). I'm on a very low dose of 5mg Olmesartan and it works pretty great for me. My body is so sensitive to medications, that it doesn't take much for one to be effective. Anyway, my current Blood Pressure Monitor is around 15-16 years old or so, now and I'm well overdue for a new one. It's an Omron and has had a great life. It's been one of the most accurate BPM's I've ever had and has always been within 3 points of readings at my Doctor, including their manual ones. I've tried several other BPM's in varying brands over the past few years and they've been wildly inaccurate...usually by 10 points off. This includes several Omron ones, as well as even the Withings BPM Connect (which is different than this one, it was an upper arm all-in-one design). However, I have a Withings Smart-Scale and I absolutely love it and would really like to have another Withings product to tie into that ecosystem. When I seen Withings had a new BPM model, the Vision...AND that it was a tube one and not an upper arm one-piece cuff (I've not had any luck with those), I was ecstatic and immediately wanted to try it. Now, going back to my last BPM shuffle: When I was looking for a new one over the past few years to replace my aging Omron... of the 3 that I tried, all of them exept one was about 10 points higher than my existing one. The other one seemed pretty accurate to mine, but was still regularly off by about 4-5 points. This gave me major anxiety when checking my BP, which as we all know, will raise your BP even higher. This was primarily because I wasn't sure which one was accurate, in the end... but I rested assured knowing my old one was correct, since I've tested against my doctor numerous times. So, when my BPM Vision came, I couldn't wait to try it. I was excited, but nervous, at the same time. I will say, the unboxing was a nice experience and the setup was stupid easy. I already had the Withings app for my Smart Scale, so I simple went to add a device within the app, it told me what to do and how to do it...everything connected the first time and the firmware updated. Zero issues. I sat down for 3-4 minutes and ran my old BP Monitor first. 113/74. PERFECT. So, I put my cuff on for my new Vision and gave it a minute or two...I could feel my anxiety swelling a bit, already anticipating it being high...like all the other monitors I'd tried in the past. It came in at 119/78...not terrible, but slightly higher than my old one. Knowing this was first-read anxiety and knowing that was probably a higher reading than usual...but nowhere near as high as all the others I'd tested...I sat there and calmed down for about 3 more minutes or so. Did another test and boom....115/73! I tested it the next day and it was within 3 points of my old one, still. So, I have FINALLY, after several years of searching, found a new Blood Pressure Monitor that is as accurate as my old 15-16 year old one that I loved so much. It's way more accurate than the all-in-one upper arm cuffs (even moreso than Withings own BMP Connect model) and even some of the tubed monitors I've tried from other brands. I absolutely love this thing. It looks amazing, it takes measurements pretty quick, isn't overly loud and does not hurt your arm with pressurizing too tightly! Ok, everything is a glowing review so far...right? Have I found any issues with this, at all? Nope, aside from one thing. Which really irriates me, lol. So, I put this below, as Feedback for Withings, if they happen to read these reviews. :-) Some feedback for Withings (and my only real complaint/issue): This is more of an app related thing, and not of the BPM, itself. But, when I checked my BP this morning, it was 120/78. Which is PERFECT. 120/80 is Optimum. However, the Withings app and the BPM software puts the reading from green over to yellow and the app says it's "elevated". Um, excuse me? No, it's not. This is the exact thing that causes blood pressure anxiety. 120/80 is optimum. Do not report that as "elevated". This needs to be adjusted in the firmware AND in the app. 121/80 and 120/81 or higher...yeah, fine, mark that as "elevated" since it's above optimum. But if it's a perfect reading, don't do that. Checking your BP can be anxiety inducing for lots of folks...don't make it worse by doing this... So, given the context of this review, as well as the feedback above...based solely on the Feedback I provided, I would give this BPM a 4.5 out of 5 stars ONLY because it reports 120/78 as being "elevated". Again, this is more of a software thing and how Withings reports the numbers, not an issue with the BMP itself - this can be very easily fixed by Withings. If this were fixed and/or updated, it would be a 5/5 all the way, which is what I have to rank it as, since there are no half-stars in this review system. But yeah, all-in-all, this is one of the BEST and most accurate BPM's out there right now. Just...don't let it scare you if your perfect reading shows as "elevated", according to Withings chart that is skewed by 1 single digit.

We have been Withings users in our family (2 adults) for probably 15 years. We own and use regularly their bathroom scale, sleep monitoring bed pads, touch-less forehead thermometer (used often during COVID pandemic), and a series of the BPM devices. We have calibrated the Withings Connect model with our PCP's mercury BP sphygmomanometer (of BP cuff for most of people) and they were spot on. The FDA agrees in their assessment. Remember when we had an FDA that we could trust? The evolution of the BPM devices has been a series of newer models, easier usage, improved designs. Early models had replaceable AAA batteries, and seemed to eat them up in a month, just for the two of us. The earliest model had a cable to connect to the iPhone via the Dock connector. The addition of Bluetooth connectivity cut the cable for less cumbersome measuring. The option to have a train of 3 measurements, with user chosen length of pause between measurements from 30 sec to 2 minutes. A series of 3, with an average of the 3, is deemed more accurate than a single measurement. Withings BPM Core was the first over-the-counter device able to measure blood pressure, record an electrocardiogram (ECG) and listen to the heart via a digital stethoscope in one device, enabling users to detect serious conditions such as atrial fibrillation or valvular heart disease. However, having a pacemaker (which I do) is a contraindication to using the “Core” model. Just like having a pacemaker required that I turn OFF the option on our Withings scale of measuring the % body fat vs. muscle mass. 

The Withings BPM Connect, the model we now own, was released in 2019 as an updated version of the classic Withings BPM, featuring an LED display and advanced sync options that make taking, viewing, and sharing cardiovascular readings simpler than ever.
 However, the newest model, the BPM Vision has returned to having an attached tube, with a separate unit housing the inflation pump, battery, and display screen. The attachment tube is the air conduit rubber tubing through which the display module unit inflates and measures the pressure. The points at which the cuff pressure releases and the systolic pulses return is the upper number of the two. Eventually the diastolic flow returns signaling the lower number of the two. Having the display in a separate unit is a mixed blessing in my opinion. The most recent model that we owned prior was a single enclosed unit: inflation pump, power supply (rechargeable via a microUSB socket), and display. The dot matrix screen on the side of the unit would show sequentially the systolic pressure, then diastolic level, and finally the pulse rate. It would repeat this scenario for 3 repeats, which was long enough to jot it down in my bedside notebook. The name of the previous user would then display. If that was you, no action is needed. But if it was a different use of the BPM, you could choose from the list of names linked to the device. If you had two people alternating their morning usage of BP monitoring, you would always have to do this final step; a minor nuisance. With WiFi linkage, your data would be uploaded from the Withings phone app to the Withings Healthmate web page, where all your personal data (BP, heart rate, body weight, sleep quality and duration (plus breathing interruptions, such as sleep apnea), temperature readings, and if you have a Withings smart watch, your activity, mileage, ongoing pulse rates, etc. will be shown. I did have a Withings watch in the early years of smart watches, but migrated to a different vendor to have more running distance and pace data. I confess that I use the computer. Healthmate page much less than the phone app. From either the phone app or the browser healthmate.withings.com page, you can send your blood pressure measurements for a chosen time interval, such as the last 3 months, for review by your physician. This is far more informative over the single measurement the office assistant may obtain, a one time reading that if it is elevated, they always say “You must have a touch of ‘white coat anxiety’ “. I would report to them that probably not, as I am a retired physician, but so be it. I believe in a larger sample size, which can be printed or emailed to your health Provider. These features of a log book, automatic recording of data, and sharing with chosen people are not unique to Withings. Many of the home blood pressure systems have similar capacity. For this trial, I used both my previous Withings BPM Connect, and compared the results to the BPM Vision. The measurements were within 5 mm/Hg of each other with identical pulse rates. The prior model has an LED light signaling if your BP was normal (green), elevated (yellow), high blood pressure level 1 (orange), or HBP 2 (red—>time to call your doctor’s office). The screen on the Vision is more convenient than cranking your neck to see your outer bicep and read the sequential display. For some people, it might even be impossible, if their neck flexibility is limited. In which case, the Withings app will have it loaded and updated a few seconds after you open the app. Indeed the screen of the newer Vision model shows you in one view ALL the data of blood pressure, pulse, and category of elevation, and whether to worry or head to the ER. The Vision system is definitely bulkier. We have taken the self enclosed single unit with us when we are traveling away from home for more than 2 or 3 days. It takes up almost no room in the suitcase (I think forbidden in carry on, the lithium battery issue). The Vision in its provided travel case is about 3 times larger. So, in summary, I really like Withings products, as demonstrated by the number of them that we own. But the Vision BPM seems to be a misstep in the evolution. Pros: easier to see the results, in one screen that is right in front of you.

 uses a USB-C plug for recharging, which is ambidextrous. I have always found that the miniUSB plug with a right side/wrong side up choice had a 40% success rate in getting it plugged in first time.

[TL;DR] If you are looking for a blood pressure and heart rate monitor that works accurately, is easy to use, and provides analysis and trending information (via the accompanying app), the Withings BPM Vision arm blood pressure and heart rate monitor is for you. Unlike other blood pressure monitors, this one is an FDA-approved medical device, which means it has to be accurate. If you decide to be part of Whitings' subscription-based ecosystem, you can even share your results with family members and physicians. This device works wonderfully stand-alone thanks to its easy-to-read color LCD, though. Remember, blood pressure data analysis, trending information, and sharing with others are done through the app, which is available for Android 9.0+ and iOS 16+. Data from the monitor to the app is done automatically, typically through WiFi. Remember, though: Taking regular readings is key to getting the most accurate picture of your blood pressure and heart rate. Very highly recommended. [OTHER THOUGHTS] After testing the Withings BPM Vision arm blood pressure and heart rate monitor for one week, I can confirm it works as advertised: (1) It provides immediate and accurate blood pressure & heart rate results on the device's beautiful color LCD screen, and (2) it syncs with the Withings app (available for Android 9.0+ and iOS 16+) automatically via WiFi (or Bluetooth), and (3), you can track your blood pressure and heart rate results, patterns, and trends intuitively on the app by week, month, and/or year. Upon unpacking, you'll be prompted to pair your monitor with your Withings app in 3 steps: (note that you need to create an account and log in first before you start pairing) 1. Pairing the monitor with the Withings app (which includes entering a PIN that is displayed on the monitor LCD screen) 2. Joining your WiFi network (you would need to enter your WiFi password) 3. Automated setup of the monitor (which includes checking for new firmware) The app then guides you through some of the features of your monitor. I found the setup process very easy, and I recommend reading through the various screens. The Withings BPM Vision arm blood pressure monitor comes with a standard-size (medium/large) arm cuff, which fits me and my wife well. There is an XL-size cuff available separately. This blood pressure monitor is one of the best I’ve owned. The setup was quick, the display is clean and easy to read, and the accuracy is spot-on. I really like that it syncs automatically and keeps everything organized for me. The cuff is comfortable, the case is convenient, and the whole thing feels high quality. If you want something reliable and simple to use, this one checks every box.

This isn’t my first home Blood Pressure device, but it is my first Withings product and one that has Smart features. Withings has a lot of smart health products available on the market that can be paired with this smart Blood Pressure device to help you achieve your health goals. Setup of the device was very simple and straightforward. I didn't run into any issues. While my smartwatch can give my heart rate, having a dedicated device for blood pressure that is as easy as pushing a button and I feel a more accurate heart rate reading is a definite plus. The BPM Vision has both bluetooth and wifi connections, which allows for multiple users of the device and sending the results to their device. On the BPM Vision screen, each session has the option to select the user. There is also a “x3” feature that will take your measurements three times in a row and give you the average for a closer reading. Overall, its a great device that will definitely get used as I work toward my health goals.

This Withings BPM Vision blood pressure monitor is a replacement for one that is 10 years old and uses batteries. The Withings model charges using a USB cable. I wish companies would include the needed USB wall plug accessory because not everyone has a charging station with available connections. I have to share this one with my electric toothbrush. However, their website says that it should function for a year on a full charge, doing one measurement per day. If that's true, charging it will be a rare inconvenience. The charge level can be checked in the app or by plugging in the device. It comes with a 2 year warranty. The user manual states that the life expectancy is approximately 3 years. There is (of course) an app for the blood pressure monitor, but for those who don’t like to use apps, it’s only required for the set up process. Now that I have the monitor set up with the app, I think it would’ve been possible to bypass the app altogether. The advantage of using the app is that it stores all the data indefinitely and stored data can be shared with anyone you choose, including a physician office. Readings are not stored on the device itself. The app setup did not go smoothly. The instructions were to press the on/off button for 3 seconds until a QR code appeared and then to enter a pairing code. When I pressed the button I got the monitor home screen and no QR code. After several tries, I found that doing a factory reset brought up the QR code on the next try, but I still had problems connecting to Bluetooth. I would get a set up error and no numbers to enter into my phone. The help center article it gave me was for scales. I had to repeat the process from the factory reset step several times before the phone and device finally connected. The blood pressure monitoring kit is typical of an in-home monitor. It monitors blood pressure and pulse. The cuff part is well made with a metal piece that gives it stability. It is for the left arm only. I have small arms and the standard cuff is labeled “large”. The size discrepancy didn’t seem to cause a problem when taking my blood pressure and I was within the wrap “OK” zone. There are instructions in the manual for determining if the cuff is too big or too small. It says that if it’s too large, you might not be able to use this device. If too small, an XL replacement can be purchased for $20. The app isn’t required to take a blood pressure. A single reading or an average of 3 consecutive readings is done on the unit itself. The interval between the 3 readings can be adjusted on the device or in the app. Results are color coded green, yellow or red to give a visual interpretation of normal to high. Results are sent to the app where they are stored and can be shared, Results aren’t available immediately in the app, but refreshing the app brings them in. The app is pretty basic, with some places to add additional data and some health tips. Other Withings health devices can be added to the same app. The good part is that there is a sturdy storage case, the device is easy to use and results are easy to interpret. The bad part is that it appears that only one profile can be created in the app, which means the app will only record results for one person. The + sign to add a profile is missing. There is a “guest” option on the device itself, but readings taken under the “guest” option did not transfer to the app. An article I found said the option to create multiple profiles was removed and the workaround is to create separate accounts by installing the app on additional phones and then sharing the data. In my house there are 2 people, but only one phone with a data plan so we can’t have 2 accounts. It is possible to create a profile for a child (or an adult where you fake the birthdate) but “guest” results don’t show up there either. The child profile is just a place to manually record data. That is truly disappointing. My husband can use the device using the guest option, but the results will have to be written down. The 10 year old battery operated device we’ve been using stores separate data for 2 people without the use of an app. More technology isn’t always better. The device performance and quality would get 5 stars, but I’m deducting stars for the app problems and the inability to have multiple profiles.

Very easy to use product. Syncs pretty much immediately. Good quality product.
