This is one of my favorite sets to open. It always seems to give me playable cards, and some of my best cards have come from it.

Probably the best set for new players. Great selection of powerful cards and fun utility options. Pull rate for good cards is consistent. Awesome set for new and current players that isn't over priced.

Best Buy is one of the only places where you can pay (mostly) msrp on Magic Cards. I love that they limit resellers giving us average Joes the opportunity to actually rip and play with the cards. Foundations is a great set to get into (or back into) Magic with. Solid cards all around and great reprints.

The cards are easy to understand, the artwork looks amazing, and it gives you just the right mix of strategy without being overwhelming. It’s a super smooth way to get started or to teach friends the game. Even if you’re not brand new, it’s still a fun pack to have around because it really captures the feel of classic Magic. For what it’s meant to do, it nails it.

Bought a pack on a whim in store. Just 5.50$. Set is full of super playable and good cards. Everything you could want and it’s at a great price.

Especially for a newcomer! Lots of MTG staples that a lot of us who got in later can really appreciate. I’ve opened lots of packs and not disappointed even when I get the eventual duplicates. I also highly recommend the Starter bundle
