This movie really hit hard for me. It is a very beautiful piece of work outlining what happened during the Hitler regime. The fight for receiving what was taken from many family's homes (painting's, jewelry, silver, etc.) and never returned to the rightful families or their descendant's.

This story is about identity and hereitage and preserving the past. To be able to preserve the past while keeping history alive and acknowledging wrong doings will hopefully keep actions from repeating themselves. This identifies why heritage trump's any financial gains and the strong connection of family.

Bought this DVD based on previews we saw in the theater. We were not disappointed. The story of a woman who fights to reclaim a valuable painting of her ancestor that was stolen by the Germans during WW II. Both she and her lawyer show the courage it takes to fight the bureaucracy to a successful conclusion.

Excellent acting and true life drama makes this a not to miss movie. Emotional and historical, this movies traces the struggle of a European woman now living in the USA to recover her family's lost works of art which was stolen during World War II Highly recommend!!!!

Woman in Gold is a great movie, and a wonderful way to spend an evening on the couch! Ryan Reynolds is one of my favorite male actors! Katie Holmes had a bit part! A great movie for teenager to help understand WW 2.

A true story that ties events from WWII to modern times. Highly valued painting seized during invasion of Austria is returned to the family it was stolen from throught the work of a brilliant lawyer.

I had seen the movie in the theater and enjoyed very much. I was happy to find the DVD in Best Buy and purchased. Excellent movie. Great purchase. Glad to be able to watch it at home and enjoy.

This movie is absolutely fantastic! Based on true events, this is an extremely important story and executed so beautifully by Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Bruhl. A must see!!

I love this movie. It is a wonderful story,based on true facts. Helen Mirren is wonderful for the part. Ever since i saw it, i have wanted to own it to see it whenever i want to.

Happened to drop by to pay my bill, when I saw this. I missed it on the circuit of theaters......I would definitely recommended the flick as a keeper.

Based on a true story (don't look it up to find out how it ends), Mirren's character goes up against her country's government to recover a painting that was lost in the war. While it doesn't sound like the most fascinating drama ever, it really is a lovely film and well worth watching.

This movie tells a very moving story from world war II. It is an enriching watch, but keep the tissues close!

A story of unrelenting determination that was long overdue. Long legal battle getting done what was right.
