Purchased this item in tandem with the WORX - LeafPro Universal Collection System which takes the mulched leaves directly to the trash can. Have only used once but overall, this was a very good buy for me. The product(s) worked as advertised. Set up was simple. I was able to mulch a fairly large swath of leaves and small twigs with relative ease. I was worried about the unit jamming with twigs and such - having read other reviews - but you can accelerate the speed of the unit with a dial on the side and it cut through the small twigs with no trouble - although I would agree that the leaves and twigs need to be dry. The extension cord and hose to the trash can was somewhat of a hassle but didn't give it much thought considering the time it takes to bag the leaves. I like the angled nozzle (as opposed to a straight nozzle) as it was easy to "sweep" over the yard picking up leaves. I just wish the unit came with a strap for the unit as opposed to on the collection bag (which I didn't use) as it can get heavy after a little while. Perhaps, an additional handle so you can easily use two hands and allow easier sweeping of the leaves would be my suggestion. For reference, look at the promo picture of the lady mulching the leaf pile with two hands on the handle. That's what it gets to after using for a little while and it's just an awkward angle. But again, overall, I would definitely purchase this again.

For a leaf vacuum/blower this unit prob is a perfect blend-balance of weight to power. Noise? Yes its a big powerful motor with an aggressive mulching blade attached that works very well! I find the lower blower tube to be easy to access and very functional. Having an easy to set variable speed motor also is a big help as it allows you to dial in just the right amount of vacuum or blower force needed to do the specific task you are dealing with and is very easy to make minor or major adjustments as you move thru the your daily task in front of you. The mulching and compacting abilities of this unit is perfect which helps reduce bag emptying. The bag attachment design is extremely simple-quick and easy. I would recommend user to purchase 4-5 additional bags so you can stay focused on ur cleanup and minimize excessive wasted time spent emptying packed bags. I have used many various vacuum baggers from commercial to higher end residential and honestly this WORX 509 unit is as near perfect as a manual leaf vacuum-blower design/unit can be made! I am a design development engineer and have to say I found this unit extremely functional and relatively easy to handle. Having the power of corded motor vs battery powered one offsets the hassle of dragging a power cord around… Yes I would strongly recommend this unit for cleaning up flower beds and areas where leaves tend to pileup. Dry or wet just dial what ever power needed to lift and the metal blades complete the task!

I live just on south side of street and every November a huge pile of leaves build up despite raking at least 1 hour a day. I bought this Worx machine since another brand broke about 5 years ago after lasting like 10 years. I hope this one can outlast that other brand as the century tree on north side of street has grown a lot in last 25 years. I used only 3 days this year however picked a lot of leaves that the Worx machine mulched down into one massive can that I stuffed that week. I was careful to take breaks every 1/2 hour so the machine would not overheat like last other brand. The machine did its job and one day I had one of the neater front yards on the street until the wind blew the next week and then it snowed so I will wait until next year to see how well the mulched side of the machine can work again. The Worx mulcher does the job so one can reduce leave piles into one can for pickup on garbage day.

This vacuum works great for getting leaves out of rock beds and walkways. It mulches the leaves to allow many more leaves for organic or trash bins. Just empty the bag, zip it up, and go remove more leaves. It also work great as a blower. I highly recommend it.

Handled alot of dead leaves i had in my backyard. Would def recommend to anyone searching for a product like this. Was on sale too. So that helps!

This thing is fantastic. It allows me to collect a hige volume of leaves when paired with the Worx unoversal leaf colllection adapter to send leaves to a garbage can. Our leaves are big and this device still handles them well. I will say that although it can be used as a leaf blower, I wouldnt use it for blowijg leaves since it seems weaker than other leaf blowers I have used / some of which I still have and prefer over this for leaf blowing. But for leaf collection and mulching this is excellent.

Easy to hold and use but had to hold at an awkward angle to use the vaccum feature. mulched well and had a large capacity bag.

This works great. I have a header I go around and trim all of the bushes then I get this blow it all in a pile and then vacuum it up no bending.

This item is excellent! It pushes the leaves effortlessly and the vacuum feature of it mulches the leaves like a charm.
