Customer Ratings & Reviews

The Xbox Series S is an excellent budget-friendly console that delivers. While it targets 1440p resolution instead of native 4K and has less storage than the Xbox Series X, it still provides a solid next-generation gaming experience with features like Quick Resume, fast SSD storage, and support for up to 120 FPS in compatible games. Its compact, quiet design makes it a great fit for smaller spaces, and it’s an ideal choice for players who primarily buy digital games.

As a mom who grew up sneaking late-night Mario Kart sessions, I wanted my sons 10th birthday to spark that same gaming magic. The Xbox Series S delivered in spades, turning our living room into a hub of laughter and epic adventures. This sleek, compact console—barely bigger than a lunchbox—slid right into our setup, whisper-quiet and ready to roll in under 10 minutes. My son’s smile was so large as he unwrapped it was worth every penny. The Series S is a beast for its size, pumping out crisp 1440p visuals and smooth 120 FPS gameplay. Quick Resume lets my son zip between Fortnite, Minecraft, and Halo Infinite without missing a beat, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (a steal at $15/month) floods our library with hundreds of titles. From co-op chaos in Overcooked with his little sister to my sneaky Sims 4 sessions, it’s a family affair. Backwards compatibility even let me introduce my son to Fable, and we’re both hooked. The controller’s comfy grip is perfect for small hands, and the energy-efficient design keeps our bills in check. No disc drive, but digital downloads are lightning-fast. Affordable, powerful, and packed with joy, the Series S is more than a console—it’s a ticket to memories we’ll cherish. My sons birthday was a level-up for us all. Five stars, endless fun!

I’ve been using the Xbox Series S for a few weeks now, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The load times are lightning fast thanks to the SSD, and even without a disc drive, the digital experience is smooth and convenient. Game Pass is a game-changer—so many titles available instantly! The graphics are sharp, and the console runs quietly, which is a big plus. It's compact, fits anywhere, and the controller feels great in hand. Highly recommended for casual and serious gamers alike!

My son (12) was able to set everything up himself, which is nice because I am simply not tech-savvy. X-box made it very easy to connect to our t.v. and to set up the apps/games by himself with only a little help from me in providing my email address, etc. The speed of this thing is excellent, I notice no lag. The images are sharp. The controller works quickly, easily and I’ve never been more impressed with a video game console. I also want to add that Best Buy made the buying process easy with online purchase and the in store pick up was a breeze. I just showed my barcode from the app, she scanned it, and 20 seconds later I was out the door with the best gift of the year, even better than a Red Ryder BB pew. I will always order my electronics from Best Buy. This made for a great Christmas. Don’t worry, I’m making him work off some of the cost with chores around my house. Happy kid, happy mom.

I used to play mostly on PC because I loved mouse and keyboard controls over a controller. But then I got this Xbox Series S so I could play more easily with friends who are all on Xbox. The determining factor for me was that you can use a mouse and keyboard on the new consoles for some games. But after trying the controller that came with it, I probably use it just as much. I never seemed to enjoy using the old controllers, but this new one is very comfortable to use. I was a little skeptical at first about it not having a DVD drive, but Xbox's digital game system has been working pretty well for me, even allowing me on some games to play on either Xbox or PC, not to mention, not having to swap discs every time I want to play a different game. My only complaint is that because the game files are so big now, I can only fit maybe 4 games on it. I didn't take into account that just under 200GB of the systems 500GB Hard drive is reserved for the OS and its accompanying software. So I guess if having more than 4 games installed at once is important to you go with the series X, as it can have twice the storage. But for lower cost this nice little console runs games very well and smoothly, and I have greatly enjoyed playing games with friends. And it's small size fits great under my desk!

The Xbox Series S is a great little console for the price. It’s fast, plays games smoothly, and loads super quickly. Game Pass makes it even better since you get tons of games to play. Sure, there’s no disc drive, but if you’re cool with digital games, it’s no big deal. If you want next-gen gaming without spending a fortune, this is a solid choice.

The Xbox series s console has got to be one of the best consoles for a person to get out there. The Xbox series s came with its own HDMI cable, for you to hook to a TV or monitor. It is also the perfect size for your desk and is smaller than a PS5. The performance of the Xbox series s is above and beyond, with its great graphics. Also the Xbox series s runs insanely fast.

Works great, and runs very quiet. Would recommend next one up or an external storage if you play games that require more storage.

A very good console for the price, most games I play you can’t tell the difference between this and the series X(which I used to own). The only big drawback is the lack of onboard storage without buying the extra ssd, digital only consoles should have a minimum of 1TB in my opinion. All and all a good buy.

This is a great Xbox if you are on a budget. The storage isn’t enough for all my game downloads but you could buy and external storage to combat the only issue I have with this console. I current have Roller Coaster Tycoon, all Modern War Fare games, Valorant and Star Wars Jedi game. I ran out of storage so having and external drive helps with downloading more games.

The Xbox Series S has completely blown my socks off! It’s crazy how fast and smooth everything runs, and the graphics look incredible, especially for such a compact console. Load times are almost nonexistent . Whether I’m playing solo or with friends, I know I’m guaranteed a good time! If you’re on the fence, just go for it you won’t regret it!

My lil xbox is standing strong even after a few years and is still quiet, a bit small on storage but i just added an external hardrive and problem solved

best decision ever made happy with the console wish it had more storage

I bought this to bring with me on trips because it is very small and easy to carry. It runs esports games like Apex, Valorant, and Fortnite pretty well, but the latest AAA games look and perform much worse on Series S than on the more expensive Series X and PS5. The 500gb storage capacity will fill up pretty fast, but if you only play a few games every week, it won't be too much of a problem. It is a good secondary machine, but if you don't have a console already I would recommend the PS5 instead.

ve had the Xbox Series S (512GB) for a few months now, and it has completely blown my expectations out of the water. If you’re looking to jump into next-gen gaming without dropping a fortune, this is ha

I recently purchased the Xbox Series S from Best Buy, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision! As a long-time gamer, I was looking for a next-gen console that offered great performance without breaking the bank, and the Series S has exceeded my expectations.

I have wanted this consol for a very long time and I finally was allowed to get it. It was the best purchase I have ever made. Amazing product

Great experience and reliable product! I recently purchased this item X-box from Best Buy and couldn’t be more satisfied. The delivery was prompt, the setup was seamless, and the performance has exceeded all my expectations. The product’s quality is top-notch, and the customer service experience was efficient and friendly. As a loyal customer, I appreciate retailers who deliver both quality and reliability. Best Buy certainly delivered on both fronts. Thanks for making tech shopping easy and enjoyable!

I bought The Xbox Series S 5 months ago. And I am very pleased with it. I am happy that it can run MSFS 2024 without much problems. This console is a good step in the console gaming world it can run games like call of duty perfectly and more game that seem demanding and are demanding but the Xbox Series S manages that basically it’s a good next gen console but it’s amazing for the price.

Everything about it is perfect always been a Xbox fan
