I bought this Yale smart lock conversion kit because I wanted the convenience of a smart lock without the hassle of changing my physical house keys, and it has been fantastic so far. The best feature by far is that it installs on the inside of the door, meaning you get to keep your existing deadbolt and keys. It gives a great peace of mind knowing you still have your original backup key if you ever need it. The auto-unlock feature is incredibly reliable—it senses when I get home and unlocks the door automatically right as I walk up, which is a lifesaver when my hands are full of groceries. The auto-lock timer is equally great for security so I never have to guess if I locked up at night. Battery life has genuinely surprised me. I’ve been using it for about two or three months now, and the app shows it’s still sitting right at 50% battery life, which is excellent for a Wi-Fi lock. Speaking of the app, the interface is clean, stable, and very easy to navigate. My only minor complaint is on the software side: I really wish Yale would add an iOS widget. Having a quick-access button on my iPhone home screen to lock or unlock the door without opening the full app would make this perfect. For the affordable price point, this is an absolute steal if you want smart security without replacing all your physical keys.

This would be thee perfect lock if it had wifi connectivity and worked seamlessly. Connecting was such a hassle that it makes it not worth it. I have a August lock that works with Yale and I’ve never had an issue connecting. The fact that I have to get a bridge to connect this device to WiFi so I can manage from anywhere is ridiculous in this day and age. On top of the bridge not being available and it doesn’t function well from what other reviews say. Save your money and go with Wyze which offer the same functionality and WiFi connect. Only thing Wyze doesn’t have is the sensor for when you open your door and closing your door. So this means you have to either put your auto lock on so it locks after a time. Other than that this will cost more to get what you want out of it. Get Wyze

And high hopes for this lock. Turns out the Wi-Fi kept disconnecting from the hub. So it did not work properly I had to reset it several times. I felt for the amount of money I spent on it. It should’ve worked better. All in all I ended up returning, it wouldn’t buy

This lock has been an absolute charm. It gives me an ultimate sense of security when I'm away from home as no one can enter without my knowledge.

Easy to install and use! Happy that I have the ability to let people in remotely if needed.
