Cabinets/Drawers finally got SMART with YALE Lock
Yale Smart Cabinet lock is designed to secure any cabinet or drawers in a smart home. Its mounted or installed inside the cabinet and can be used to lock, unlock, share access, and see history from your smartphone or voice (Siri). This is a great addition to lock the cabinets and secure anything inside and keep it out of hands from children to access medicines, valuables, cleaning supplies, tools. What’s in the box: Cabinet Lock, mounting brackets, 3M tape, CR2 battery, screws, double door bracket, instruction manual. Installation is simple. Download the Yale Access app from Appstore (iOS) or google play(android). It doesn’t work with August app, but all august locks are visible from Yale app once downloaded and logged in. You can use the same login of August if you already have account with august app. I do have 2 august locks and was able to use the same login credentials on Yale. It would have been easy to have this lock added there to avoid downloading and consolidating to one app. Once downloaded, just scan the QR code of the lock from the sticker on the backside. Once scanned, app guides through the process by playing a YouTube video from manufacturer for installing. Suggest watching fully for easy & quick installation. I was able to install everything in less than 10 minutes and was easy. This lock requires Yale connect for remote access but if you have apple TV you can enable apple HomeKit integration in the app for remote access. Keep in mind this lock is made of plastic and anyone with good force can open the cabinets if needed. So, not a great lock for valuables or for storing guns. Notifications works great and you can view the history to know when the door was locked and unlocked. You have options to enable smart alerts, auto lock timings in the lock settings. Smart alerts require the Yale connect. Pros: Smart Bluetooth lock, Smart Integration with SIRI through apple tv for remote access, Auto lock, Share & Monitor access Cons: Unstable Bluetooth connection. Works great with WI-FI through apple tv or connect integrations. Overall, great addition to any smart home that needs to secure cabinets or drawers. Works with double door cabinet for me. I will be replacing the plastic double door hardware with steel plate for added security. With few modifications, this may be a good smart lock to start with.

Satisfied, great app
To preface, I already have a front door lock from this same company, which has been an ease to use. That being said, the cabinet locks are really following suite as well. When I initially was about to mount this lock I was concerned that I would need to drill into the cabinet, I was wrong, I took the adhesive route and was happy I did so as any sort of screw would have pierced through the bottom of the cabinet. This device adds seamlessly to the existing companion app that I use to manage my front door lock, adding the device was super easy. The bridge that connects the device to the cloud does need to be somewhat near the device, so keep that in mind as I had initially placed the cabinet lock just slightly out of range. Additional bridges are sold separately. Opening and closing being app drive is a good thing and a bad thing; if internet drops then opening the needed cabinet is delayed, but being able to open remotely is a nice touch. I used this on my tool cabinet that has sharp objects in it, knives and other tools that my young child should not be playing with and so far it was worked amazingly. All in all, if you are looking to secure a cabinet while being able to toggle functionality in a remote fashion then this cabinet lock is for you.

Great piece of technology
So i have to say i love this small device. It just transformed a regular drawer in my house into a smart more secure place! The app it’s as cool as the device, works flawlessly giving you a bunch of information like If the device is locked/unlocked or u forgot the door/drawer open I find it really helpful and cool!
